Re: Watts. Triple M and Julian De Stoope(?) Saying he has re-injured his hammy, Goody saying he could be in next week

I wouldn't be backing Goodwin's judgement of injuries during his post game presser. He's been way off the mark over the last fortnight with his assessments of Watts, Salem and Garlett.

Either he has no idea, he's been misinformed or lying to the supporters so as to not stress them out.

Why is Tyson being suggested as an out??

It appeared he hurt his knee in the dying seconds. It didn't look good live

Like that. Possibly Wagner for Kent or JKH also.Harmes on thin ice.

Let's not keep Stretch in. I thought the intensity wasn't there. Once when Wagner had the ball on half back, Stretch made a half baked lead at half pace, being closed down by a Sydney player all the while. Wagner passed the ball but it got picked off. Not Wagners fault. Had Stretch run faster, he gets the ball in 3 metres of space and we're away. Stretch ....... holiday. I don't care who else we're missing.

Meanwhile there was a passage of play in which Wagner dropped an uncontested mark, picked the ball up and turned it over by foot, then on the rebound didn't chase hard enough.

I was furious with Wagner's game because he can do better.

Can always call Lumumba and see if he is free. Would walk into the side based on tonight's performance..........

I'm so worried about Viney and Tyson.

We need some luck and that Viney injury is not often associated with good luck.

This...that was so bloody pathetic ..I can forgive the dropped mark and the shocking kick, but when he didn't chase, I sat there and thought, stuff this bloke. If you can't be bothered then pizz off back to Casey for the year

Shades of 1984 when we were coming off five wins in a row including a Peter Tossol inspired victory against Hawthorn at Princes Park and then we got belted by Essendon at VFL Park and skipper Greg Healy was Ko'd early.

Really important week for Goody - he must go back to his original plan of switching play methodically and then runnning and gunning. But having lost the three best kicks in the side, it's hard to be precise. And his decision to bring in White and Wagner backfired massively. Playing Hunt as Jeff Garlett was a disaster as we lost a fair bit of drive from defence and White wasn't able to get the pill enough to use his precise kicking.

But despite that we have to somehow turn it around against Carlton which won't be easy. Fortunately we have nine days off.

Really important that Gawn, Vince and Lewis lift and that Oliver goes back to see ball, get ball.

Sounds like Hoges may be our only key to return from injury with Wattsy doubtful based on his comments pre-game.

Vince to tag Gibbs. Oliver and Gawn to be told to lift against Cripps and Kreuzer. If they don't we are done.

Out: Viney, Tyson (injured) Bugg (susp), Pedersen, Wagner, White and Stretch.

In: Hoges, Kent, Kennedy-Harris, Kennedy, Maynard, Weideman (all subject to strong displays in VFL), Trengove (for his smarts) or Smith (if he comes through VFL game well)

B: Jetta Frost Hibberd

HB: Hunt O-Mac Lewis

C: Melksham Vince Kennedy

HF: Harmes T-Mac Hannan

F: Kent Hoges Petracca

Ru: Gawn Oliver Neal-Bullen

Int: Maynard, Trengove, Weideman, Kennedy-Harris

Kent is to good a footballer to be playing at Casey.

Pfft. Not in a million years would I have Dean Kent in ahead of JKH or BenKen. Dean Kent is a lazy SOB. I believe he is very talented, but he is out of shape, and lazy. He is not only a lazy player, but a lazy decision maker. I'd be happy not to see Kent in the AFL again.

Play JKH in middle along with Trengove. We won't have Viney or Jones for weeks yet, plus Tyson stays in, gets his hands on ball

Think they'll make minimal changes. If Hogan and Garlett can come in, that's a start, and would be 2 in for 2 out (Viney/Bugg).

Then take it from there, but on VFL form, next cab off the rank would be JKH.

I have it as FACT that some of the boys from the casey team got on the [censored] and didnt rock up for recovery in ideal shape.. fair to say goodwin wasnt happy, so I assume thats why kent jkh etc didnt get picked

We had zero forward pressure tonight along with a lack of forward options, someone's gotta get on the park and I'd rather give them a shot than someone like jkh and trengove who have continually shown they're not up to it

Garlett, watts and hogan will solve that problem.

Mitch white should never play another game for the club. He was hopeless

I said on Thursday that I couldn't believe White was selected from what I have seen of him, just way off the pace. Satiryconhome gave me an absolute pasting, as did a few others. White is not AFL standard. Reminds me of someone we would play under Neeld. That being said we are so hit by injury that I can take the loss last night, getting past one of the Eagles or Swans is a good result with our outs. Carlton is a must win. Go Dees

Didnt Viney say after the eagles win the boys were all watching together somewhere?

Good for team morale not so good for next day training .
