Finally, the full 4 quarter effort. Didn't take our foot off their throat the whole game.

OMac, what a game! Surely silenced the haters, at least for a week ;)

Gawn and maybe Hoges back next week, we could be anything in the back half of the year.

Bring it on!

57 point win. 11 goal kickers. 120 mins of pressure and intensity - All with no Ruck or no.1 FF.

Can ask for much more.

Fantastic win.

That was awesome.  We just blanketed them.  Nev was our lowest possession winner with 13, and he was his usual dependable self.  You'd be hard-pressed to find a player who didn't contribute.  Great to see the AFL website has our top three as Salem, McDonald, McDonald.  :D

Oscar seems to have clicked after half-time last week and just carried on this week.  He's winning the aerial contests and nailing attacking kicks.

And he had a massive smile on his dial when he said it too.

Classic.

1.5 games probably isn't a large enough sample size to go by but if Oscar has started to develop some confidence in his marking, that is huge for his development, and for the club.

Boy oh boy wow wee, great team effort. Garlett is becoming deadlier every week and Hibberd would now demand a first round pick.

Good luck trying to pick the one two three votes today guys. Team win.

As well as those who make way for Hogan and Gawn.

Tackling all game was brilliant, hunted the hunter

all 22 put in

best win in years

another hoodoo broken

Cant believe what I saw from Oscar McDonald , he looked like Glen Jakovich out there.

Another preseason and few more kilos, and look out.

Salem 3

Hibberd 2

Garlett 1 (hit the post 3 times and pressured all day)

Cant remember seeing a player improve so much. He was a superstar today.

There have been times when we were all scratching our heads over him. He played like a 200 gamer today with so much confidence and poise.

Our last two games have also both been the only game on the day, which has given us good exposure (would have been better if today had been on FTA).

Our next two games are in prime-time on FTA as well, so if we can continue this run of form it is shaping up nicely for us to lift that exposure and relevance, increase memberships and attendances, draw sponsorship and players, etc.

Darn right.

I'm not even sure I can absorb what just happened.

Yeah. I don't really know what you're supposed to do after that kind of dominance.

Cant stop smiling.

What is this joyous feeling? Cant fight it....keep bursting out into renditions of Grand old flag.

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
