That call at Half Time against Richmond was a total disgrace!!

Gill is killing the game

Nah, it's Richmond so I'm happy.

Also he didn't need to go to ground, just pick it up and get tackled through. It was a dumb risk.

Pressure was on, Gimme a break

who would want to be a defender?

that was a legit play. The Essendrug player pulled up and appealed before it went through.

The game is being hijacked by sh!t rules

I would expect our defenders to rush it through every single time

I knew he'd pull up and appeal, Richmond bloke should've known too.

It's a terrible rule and terrible to judge. But whether it's right or wrong, I enjoyed it.

You would have pulled your own head off if that was against the MFC!!!!

I don't think that decision against Short was the right decision as the rules stand. However, if it is the right decision, it's an example that the rule is wrong and needs to be fixed.

so you have a 100 metre sprint.... the guy behind knows that if he lets the other guy win by five metres by stopping at the ninety three metre mark .... the guy behind wins

Weird rule especially when the rule was brought in to stop the infamous Hawk walk throughs

Would prefer them to be a little harder on the DOOB as it was good for run on play.

Semi-Massacre at Adelaide Oval.

Crows 9.18 to 2.1 and Crows kicking at 51% Effy!  Crows are not playing like a top of the ladder team.  If Adelaide kicked straight it would be a total wipe out for Freo.

If they kicked straight Freo would wear the dubious title of the biggest loss in AFL history and we could relinquish the 186 tag.

We will rue the loss to Freo as much as we did rnd 2 vs Ess in 2016

Like the out of bounds rule. Players now stop and let it roll over, then appeal a free.

Idiot rules that Ch 7 demanded

How can it be that Bruce's greatest full back if not greatest player ever (other than Cyril of course) be in front in a marking contest, and just about have his ugly head pulled off by Daniher and it not be "high"?

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
