Hopefully, I can get an internet connection of some sort for this game.

Goldy is the issue for mine. The Bear needs to crack in hard to insure he earns what he gets.

I still have bad memories of when they cleaned us up by 120 odd points in 2013. My enduring memories of that match were my wife (then girlfriend), decked out in Melbourne paraphenalia, wanting to get it off asap (lest she be spotted) and a random Norf nuff nuff giving me shif in the Starbucks after the game.

Time to put those memories to bed.

This is a huge one for us, beating North with no ruck and all these outs will truly be a season defining win.

nervous as all hell... ?

Well have to say I'm feeling very positive.

Waking up to the news that the tiggers got nutted again cheered me immensely. Possibly even better than a Sunday morning naughty.

I shall be heading in shortly on the Scumbury line. That area is far too upmarket for tigger supporters so I'm expecting a pleasant journey.

If we win we'll be 6th (if Carlton win) or 7th (if Freo win) above Tigers, Dogs and Saints.

Get it done and get it done early Demons, don't disappoint.

A  draw. Neither side will be capable of snatching defeat from each other.

I'm very anxious about this one.

I always go to this game with my son who is a mad North supporter. He was born a Demon supporter until Wayne Carey went to his school when he was about eight and he was converted.

it would be nice to come out on top with this mob for a change.

Go Dees❤️?

These are the games melbourne typically drop. I think there are a few media people waiting to see how we go today.

We must back up last weeks great win with the same performance today. We need to show that same intensity. I will be shattered if we drop today. Last week would have felt like nothing then.

We owe nth. Far to long they have had the wood over us.

We need to get up the ladder and get a 2 game break from the lower teams.

Contenders or pretenders............ I think the footy world agrees that North is the latter, including the last couple of years when they were a better team than they are now. Which one are we?

For once i am actually confident.

Time for MFC to become a contender.

Melbourne by 28 points.

Perhaps looking at the 2013 team to face Norf at Etihad where we lost by around 20 goals and only scored 4 ourselves, will give people some heart.

Centreline Jack Viney Jack Trengove Jack Grimes

Half forwards Shannon Byrnes Jack Watts Jeremy Howe

Forwards Aaron Davey Chris Dawes Jack Fitzpatrick

About 2/3 of that team turned over in 4 years. And only about 5 of them could be said to be regulars now.

This is an extremely important game for our entire club. Coming off the back of a brilliant away win, this needs to be another very good win.

But more than that, playing a Vic team at the G, this needs to be a big crowd and a profitable day for the club, to show that we are more than viable and deserve better timeslots than we've been getting.

I think we'll smash these pretenders good and proper.

Anyone have any news on how Hunt went at his training run yesterday?

I read that Harmes was the only one of our emergencies to not play for Casey yesterday so it would appear that Hunt went OK (otherwise I assume they would have held 2 emergencies out of Casey).

I'm more nervous today than signing a contract on the Woodend residence yesterday.

MFCSS back in a big way today, I was not nervous at all last weekend in Adelaide but today we really need to do the business on these f logs.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
