seriously good win by the Eagles. (helped by bad kicking by Port)

Heard on the radio that Natanui is likely out for the season... if true that is a shame... he provides something special to that team and is great to watch

Mmm, this is true - and this is not about Nic himself, but I really think the recruitment team picked the better player that year... Watts is as laconic as Mark Waugh was, doesn't show urgency (nor does he need to) and has played better for longer in his position(s). onwards and upwards for Jack.

He's the worst part about On the Couch for mine.

But it's his commentary that really shits me. Says something clearly wrong, is shown to be wrong, everyone disagrees but he still doesn't back down. Can't stand him.

But then there's very few I can stand in AFL commentary.

When he was talking about holding the ball......haha

Just did the AFL ladder predictor and we could finish anywhere from 5th to 10th

Round 23 is huge as we play the Pies and the Tigers play St Kilda, which will be our competition for a spot in the top 8.

Round 21 vs the Saints and Round 18 vs Port will also be huge games.

Tigers have jumped the Doggies in the first quarter. Interesting to see if the Dogs can pull themselves back. They haven't been great this year.

Maybe, I've given up trying to predict that far ahead after some of these results. If Richmond and Gold Coast get up, who knows what it will look like in 23.

It'd be nice if the media and commentators didn't jizz themselves whenever Alex Rance appears on a screen. Decent player, but he's been average this year. The commentators were just singing his praising for being near a contest, as if that somehow did something. When he actually entered the contest he gathered the ball, shat himself and got tackled. Was comical. Should've been a free kick against but because he's a protected species they did a ball up instead.

Bloke's a dog. I'll never forget the king hit on Watts last year. He'll forever be a scumbag in my eyes for that cowardly act.

Hope the Bulldogs give Richmond a reality check tonight.

Not looking likely mate.

I haven't got a single tip correct so far this round.

Had $50 on both North and Eagles

Happy times paid 20-1

That's a very solid return.

Yet to tip a winner this round. Don't think I'm on my Pat Malone. Have GC and Doggies so could break a record in horrendous tipping.

Footscray have no structure up forward. It's kick and hope.

Did the same thing last week and nearly beat GWS. Handball/throw til they can bomb it to 30m out.

Not working at all well tonight.

Nope. Hasn't worked well most of the year. They've just been lucky.

Rance just gave away a 50 for smacking a bloke in the head after he'd already marked it. He might be the biggest dog in the AFL. Such a scumbag!

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
