GAME DAY - Round 3, 2017

Jayden Hunt - that's how you kick a goal. Star✔️✔️

Please Weid.....

Some of these set shots are gonna haunt us

Delivery has been superb this quarter.

Moving the ball beautifully now, tackling pressure is great!

Geelong disposals shocking

Another easy miss. Thats 3 already.

Geebus, we've got half a dozen players having absolute nightmare days out there, but we're still right up to Geelong's pace.

If a few of Weids, Tyson, Kent, Vince Garlett or Hannan can get themselves involved, we'll be looking good.

Meanwhile... Nathan Jones... we need a new post icon like the 'Paul Roos crazy grin' one. Something to be a shorthand for the captain-love we surely all feel!

Hooray!

Geelong broadcasters are so good.

C’arn the Dees! We’re dominating right now. Should be way further in front IMO, but we’re ahead and that’s enough for me.

How the frog at AFL level can they be so bad at set shots!

It's that Docklands wind !!!

Pressure has been fantastic. If we can just kick the goals, were all good

Selwoods a cheat.

What a waste of 5 minutes of absolute dominance.

Also I loath Selwood.

Max has to calm down. Don't need him getting suspended. Now doesn't look good walking off. These misses are coming back to bite us.

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
