Just love Big Maxy's persona and thought that he needs his own topic to make sure we never miss a giggle from the gems of humor that seen to pop out every second sentence.

So here is one to start things off, as reported on the Fox Footy web news page:

Via Hawks duo Isaac Smith and Josh Gibson during the night, Frawley apparently said Gawn’s head would’ve “gotten quite big quickly” if he had taken out the Leigh Matthews Trophy.

Big Max’s rebuttal, however, had Frawley covered.

“Old Chip Frawley, hey? Well Hawthorn has to play a 17-man defence because Chip doesn’t defend too much anymore,” Gawn said.

I'm not sure it's right up there with his absolute best work, bid did like that it gave Frawley a well earnt sledging.

So what else has the new mouth from Melbourne put out there?

On coming 3rd at the B & F

"You might think its arrogant that I had a speech and I only brought it out thinking I was going to be getting up a bit later."

B & F on Jim Synes

"He lived his life on the motto Whatever it Takes which for him was quite severe. He drank his own urine to stay alive. I'm not going to be doing that at quarter time. I promise."

At the B & F

"To Sammy Peach who said tennis wasn't a good idea 4 months after a knee reconstruction. Thanks Sammy."

At the B & F

"Mark Jamar who didn't let me win a hit out in six years. Which was his way to teach me. Russian taught me everything I know today. And finally the guys at list management decided to give him the flick and give me a go. Which is good."

B & F

"Benny Matthews who is obviously the midfield coach. Some of the vision I go through with him over the past three years. I think that's why you see we are one of the top four midfields in the competition. Another one of the reasons is I'm palming it down their throat. Which helps. It won't take a genius to work out the top two are midfielders and there's a reason they are there."

This is Michael Jordan-esque.

This could become the longest page in DLand history........

Certainly the funniest.

Had a photo with him once.

He turned to me and casually quipped "come on mate, stand up."

Needless to say I already was!!

I actually found his B&F speeches hard to watch. He's a funny man, but was trying a little hard at times in those speeches. Fair enough I guess though  - he had to speak 3 times

His best work was in the Gawn in 60 seconds clips! quick witt

Around 2012 on a trip to China. The story goes Gawn walked into Scully's room after a dozen or so pints (I don't know how many he'd actually had) and spewed all over a sleeping Scully.

I thought only teen girls and skanky mums got their noses pierced.

Gawn and Dangerfield on the footy show tonight had a nice little chat.  Gawn again talking up the armchair ride he's giving our mids and how underappreciated it is.  Danger responds that obviously nobody appreciates how hard it is to tap a ball as opposed to actually catching it.

This was all in the context of Gawn coming equal fourth in the PA MVP.  Nice effort there Max.

I've been trying to work this out, did we get Hogan with the scully compensation? If so, Max can do no wrong, even when he spews on teammates.

Yes, indirectly.  Gave up pick 3 (Scully compo) and 14, and received MD pick #2 (Hogan), ND pick #20 (on-traded as part of Dawes deal) and Dom Barry.

At a footy clinic during 2016, kids asks "how are you?". Max, "pretty good for a legend".

His whole speech is like a stand up roasting routine! Love the guy!

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
