Joel Smith mystery injury of the week.

Wouldn't see the point in managing him the week after a bye.

15 Melbourne listed players is a decent turn out.

Posted

Weiderman at full back, i'm sure he won't play there i just find it really interesting that players are consistently named in positions they're never going to play in.

He may actually be in the development team, although doubtful as he has been playing well.

When is the game on? I might drop along, as I often do.

Yeah, Kielty played back against Box Hill, and did a good job. I would expect the same things again.

No, surely we are kicking the other way.

No. I've updated the OP and included the DL team and Joel Smith isn't there. Put him in the mystery injury of the week category.

I hope Joel makes it. It's gr8 2 have sons o past players playing 4 us. Hope Brett Lovett ' s son starts showing something so we can draft him on 2 rookie list. Notice he's on bench 4 Casey Development side.

They really don't even try with the positions any more do they?

What if Weiderman plays full back, would help his development as a forward if he got a look from the other side

Maybe thats why Dunn is on the wing, to loose a few kgs that some people are saying he's carrying.

We could have played ANB as a second ruck yesterday as well, cause they developed him there about 6 weeks ago if you go based on the team sheets.

It wasn't a comment on how the team is printed out on a teamsheet, it was more of maybe it would be good for Weiderman's development to have a run at FB in the VFL......no wait a concept that might be too difficult for some Demonland posters to comprehend playing a gun forward as a defender to aid his development...whatever next....besides which MFC don't develop players

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
