Most Disliked Player in the AFL

I had to laugh when I saw this bit:

CURRENT PLAYERS ON THE RECEIVING END
Charges Striking Player Club(s) Games played
15 9 Steve Johnson Geelong/GWS* 264
14 6 Joel Selwood Geelong 215
13 5 Sam Mitchell Hawthorn 295
12 7 Nick Riewoldt St Kilda 309
11 7 Hayden Ballantyne Fremantle 132
10 5 Luke Hodge Hawthorn 275

It's like a Hall of Fame roll call of shi tbags.

Ballantyne, Thomas, Harvey, Goddard, Shuey, Goodes, Selwood, Puopolo and anyone else who stages for free kicks.

I can't believe for the life of me that in 6 pages Mitch Robinson was mentioned only once during an edit by hells bells.

Kudos to you hells bells.

I support every other poster here on who they have mentioned. Particularly those who have mentioned Sam Mitchell.

I'm prepared to take the player who gives Sam Mitchell a severe corkie - out on the town for a bender at the conclusion of their season.

That felt better...got it off my chest.

Still can't believe no one has managed to get the sniper.

Bernie tried on the weekend, there was one time he ran in to tackle and he knee seemed in an odd spot like he was trying to caulk him. Unfortunately he missed.

Just heard Mitchell is still sore apparently. Could it be Bernie?

Not properly enough though.

Sam Mitchell.

Brent Harvey.

Racism plain and simple.

Terry Wallace. Not looking for other candidates.

Love how Bernie has a streak of nasty in him, perfect attitude for our kids to learn from.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
