At least Oliver for Harmes as I suggested at selection table earlier , But sheeit What do I know???

Hunt did not have his greatest game today, let's be honest, but calling for him to be dropped on the back of it is just ridiculous IMHO...

Was one of the only ones to attempt to run and carry and even when he did lose the ball in the last quarter, he quickly bounced back and laid a ripping tackle.

The kid has the attributes of a great player and dropping him when there were clearly another 10 players worse than him is just plain stupid...

Having said that, the coaching staff will probably drop him

Dunn can go and stay gone. Pathetic.

Harmes can make may for ANB or Oliver.

Lumumba should be made accountable for his poor performance. In: best performed defender for Casey.

One of Frost or Pedo needs to go.

Harmes looked proppy, injury?

Kent was terrible, but if Harmes is injured he may stay in.

Salem concussed so he is out.

the backs I will give leeway to as the ball came out of our fwd area and midfield and they were constantly outnumbered which I put down to laziness and poor coaching.

ANB and Oliver would have to be certainties. Maybe Trenners, might be good to play his first afl game back away from vic?

We now have 'depth'.  The Match Committee must now be true to their word and use it!  I'm now really looking forward to the Casey Game to see who stakes their claim.

Depending on form of Casey players.....

Frost out - play Patracca there in his place for a majority of the game.

Hames out - rest if need be but he would have to come back through Casey.

Wagner out - looked a pace too slow today.

ANB in - he has the form at Casey, a bit of pace and can kick a goal

Trengove in - has Casey form and should not be held back

Oliver in - first four weeks was excellent. Will be interesting to as how he goesfor Casey.

if there are others at Casey tomorrow that put there hand up there are plenty more today that could be dropped on from and effort. Garland for Lumumba anyone?

I probably will be ridiculed but I reckon Garland and maybe Grimes will come in, if they do well at Casey.

Garland needs to stand tall tomorrow and put his hand up. Our situation is calling out for some seniority in the backline. Dunn and T Mac lowered their colours badly today.

Call me crazy, but I'd play Garland forward.  He would give more than Pedersen and Frost.  Just a thought.

Your crazy. Period.

Trenners will not play this week. No chance. He is a few games back in the VFL after 2 years out ffs

I'd stick with Petracca at AFL level and Brayshaw at VFL for now, let Gus find some form

ANB has been in good form so bring him and oliver in

Pending performances for Casey

OUT: Salem (conc), Harmes (cork), Kent (omit), Hunt (omit), Frost (omit) & one of T McDonald/Dunn

IN: M. Jones, O. McDonald, Neal-Bullen, Oliver, Stretch, Trengove

Michie, Grimes & Garland the emergencies.

Salem failed the concussion test and word is Harmes may have a corkie. Hunt could probably go back to Casey to work on some things for a week or so while Kent needs to learn some consistency and Frost needs to learn how to find the ball. As for Tommy Mc & Dunn, you could drop either. Good 3 week period to bring Oscar in anyway given Gold Coast, Bulldogs & Brisbane don't have huge 2nd key forwards.

We lack key defenders, Frost is a key defender but for some reason we are trying to make him into a forward pocket.

Yes and no.

Frankly he's just not a footballer. He is an athlete and one that we've taken a punt on.

Has some really special and gifted athletic abilities that are the reason he is playing AFL.

But he has a limited ability to play the game and really I see him being just as lost as a defender, (especially as part of a zone defence) as he is a forward.

Really we just need Weideman to come on as quickly as possible.

For the love of Barassi, if Tom McDonald isn't attached to Tom Lynch like [censored] glue from the opening bounce next week, I will actually lose my [censored].

I agree, I don't think he should be in the team but if he is to be in the team it must be as a key defender.

Lumumba, anybody? Anybody?

His past 2 weeks he has been good with his run. Today was his old way when he just got caught. Id drop dunn before him. Id bring in Col and drop Dunn.

Hunt at least tried to run it out the backline.

Salem may miss because of concussion.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
