Very, very clever Richmond.

Pity it fooled nobody.

I doubt they were trying to trick us, just giving their best player the absolute maximum amount of time to get up for the game.

At the station on the way in...loads of Melbourne everywhere. I feel a bit sick.

I'm not sure about that. He hasn't played a game in the lead up and apparently its a really tricky injury that you can't mess with or he could be out for another 8 weeks. Seems like a ruse for Roos that they might have rued...

Sorry about that....

You're probably right, but it was so opportunistic/unrealistic, that it now looks desperate.

Still nervous about this game though. Very nervous.

It feels like a 40 cm putt to win the Masters. Should nail it, but given the gravity of it all, it's terrifying.

We need to win this game.

I reckon Hardwick was just desperate. I can't see anything to be gained by tricking the MFC, and I doubt anyone would fall for it in any case.

Pandemonium outside Gate 3 as the ticket scanners break down causing a huge crowd waiting to get in.

Food sellers outside cashing in with their exorbitant prices.

Apparently not confined to Gate 3.

This could be interesting.

That's not good I am leaving in 5mins and will arrive right on kick off...don't want to be stuck outside for the first half...

If all games so far this weekend are any indication there has been a lot of free kicks overlooked.

It seems as though there are instructions to let flow quite a lot. Consequently there are a lot of good and fair players not being protected..

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
