I vote Weed at 3, set up our fwd line and get Prestia next year

Harry Mckay at 3, Parish-OIiver-Francis in that order for 7.

I'm pretty sure it's out of Parish and Oliver. The club has the choice, so we know they'll get the better player

I recall we voted about 80% for Ollie Wines as well. and we know what happened next!!

Nah, it was Toumpas that received the majority of the votes.

Curnow: "Then injury struck, and a dislocated kneecap ruled him out of action for three months, including the mid-year NAB AFL Under-18 Championships with Vic Country. Although at stages it appeared he would not return as opinions swung on the damage sustained in the injury, Curnow came back for the Falcons' final five games of the season and impressed." Note the injury. Recurrent dislocation of the patella has a high chance of following and will f$ck up his early career until fixed by surgery.

Both Brett Anderson and Quayle have is hugely considering taking Oliver at 3

With this coming so close to the draft its hard to not see it happening. Complete midfielder who can turn games around and will impact from day1.

I tell you what Oli, you'll come out smelling roses this draft period if we land your man at 3. You'll have bragging rights for years to come.

I think he can order the vase.

Not so sure he'll go at 3.

We will know in 54 hours.

I think you posted that we will or should take Weideman. If so, who do you see at 7? Do you think Bombers would take both Parish and Oliver leaving Milera, Francis and Curnow?

I think there is more chance of Weideman slipping to 7 if we take Oliver, as Parish will go and they will probably take Francis as well, while GC would love Milera to replace Bennell and they have a couple of big forwards.

I've waxed and waned, but I reckon we'll go the mid at 3, because there just seems some queries over the talls. We need another quality mid and there are less queries. I'd love Parish, but when in doubt go for the big bodied beast. The fact that Oliver also has good speed tips it his way.

So for me it looks like

3 Oliver/Parish

7 Weideman/Curnow or Francis

I think we will go

3.Oliver

7. McKay

i've got nothing against mckay but the 6 players wj was presented with at the mfc draft function didn't include him and a min of 2 of the 6 will be available at p7 (p10)

Either that or we burn him at the stake if Oliver fails. No doubt all of Olisik's bitching and moaning must've been heard by the MFC recruiting team, who didn't want it to go to another level if we passed on Oliver.

I think we will go

3.Oliver

7. McKay

BS Oli. If you had it your way, you'd read out Oliver's name at 3 and then again at 7, just to drive home the fact that we had drafted him!

I think we will go

3.Oliver

7. McKay

Happy with that, would also be happy with Parish and McKay.

I have changed my mind to Francis at 3 and Oliver at 7.

I think we will go

3.Oliver

7. McKay

3 Oliver

7 Weideman

If Weideman is gone then McKay

3 Oliver

7 Weideman

If Weideman is gone then McKay

Could be the case. Or maybe whoever is just left out of Parish Weidermann and Francis.

If we take Parish then Watts can suck it up and play forward like he was drafted to

If I were Jason Taylor I'd select Weideman at #3, then the best mid available at #7. Fortunately for everybody I'm not, so I'll just sit back and be happy with whoever we end up with.

Suspect it might be the other way around.

Parish and Oliver will each be available at pick 3. Neither will be available at pick 7.

Whereas Weideman and Curnow are much more likely to be available at pick 7.

What time exactly will we know by tomorrow?

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
