Not overly fussed on the new logo TBH but I am impressed with the way it was launched.

Good to be finally starting to resemble a professional sporting body.

more than resembles.

It probably looked better in my head, but you get the idea.

I immediately thought of Vikings.

Our club owned this city today. Awesome job. Let's hope they own the city from now on. It's our town.

Well done Dees.

At least he hasn't got his ears tucked into his hat.

Without doubt the stupidest trend in some time.

As my boss says to me "stupid seppo [censored]@ bulltish". I generally can't hear him with my ears tucked into my flat brimmy hatty.

Me too. Today's events and promotions were a 10/10 in my book. They absolutely nailed it, especially the multi-pronged bombardment thing - with billboards here, coffee there, water, the Jones mural, school visit, the kick-to-kick - rather than putting all your eggs in the one basket.

Is this the same club that made a complete balls-up of a family training day last year?

Went down to the kick to kick and had really good time. There was something for everyone really, within the bounds of kick to kick. Plenty of cameras, and once the kick was well underway with about 20 on each side, the players could talk to the kids and parents a bit. Jesse came around and said goodbye when he was off, which was a nice touch. Daisy and Robbo stayed till the end too. Jack left early, but did most of the kicking after every camera was pointed on Hogan and nothing on him. Think the club nailed it today. Hope this is the start of us stopping feeling sorry for ourselves and pulling ahead of the pack.

I really need to rock that hat

It matches nothing I own, but it has to work

I am really glad to see that after all those years our merchandise is looking slick and modern. No reason to look like a hobo from the 90s if you feel like wearing footy merch.

Whoever is designing the apparel has done a great job. Also if you're reading this, I'm down for a job in June. Thanks.

Love the logo but that mural is absolutely horrific, is that meant to be what Nathan Jones looks like after he's swallowed a beach ball ?

It's interpretative...not supposed to be a photo mural.

What really surprises me is that there were no leaks!

Given the number of people involved in design, printing, manufacture, putting up signs, giving out coffee cups, drink bottles, etc etc keeping it quiet is nothing short of a miracle!

How the club kept control of all that I will never know.

But it is excellent that they did.

I reckon the new logo should be used on on away jumpers instead of just the MFC part. Then it would look less like Carlton's and be more obvious that its Melbourne. Anyone care to do a quick mockup?

P.S. Quite frankly...F@!K ever having a ponsy white jumper ...EVER again !! We are Melbourne...We are RED and BLUE !!

Umm, it has the name of the club/city and the old monogram in a shield that is sometimes borderless.

How does it say all these things?

Come on rpfc, where's your imagination? If you try hard enough I think you'll also be able to find:

  • imagery of a pennant starting with the numbers "201x" with Melbourne Football Club written on it;
  • what looks like the words "Casey Scorpions VFL side" crossed out and replaced with "Melbourne Demons VFL side"; and
  • a Melbourne Football Club contract with an end date of 2025 with Jesse Hogan's signature on it.

Disappointed in the training jumper. Loved last years and tried to get one mid year but they were all gone. Was told they were coming back and they have but with a massive graphic of the mcg below the monogram. Totally unnessacary. Won't buy it now. Everything else looks great though

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
