And another goal to Norf and we are done.

46 plays 12 at Qtr time

This is abysmal.

100 pt hammering coming up if we don't start to attack the footy.

Why the hell is daniel cross on boomber? Christ lets put trenners on lewis jetta next year as well.

Worst qtr in 2 years!! [censored] pathetic!! Just when you thought we back to playing attacking footy we display this [censored]!

Glad this is our last home game

Jones not good enough!

Which one?

Think Matt has been good, Nathan terrible.

Well that about wraps it up at quarter time.

Well done Melbourne. Your ineptness continues to even amaze a cynic like me.

If Jones is crook and played....I thought there would have been a team rule since Maloney tried it that infamous day at Geelong.....

You just can't ever enjoy being a Melbourne supporter

For [censored] sake I am so fed up letting absolute fuckwits like Harvey and Thomas tear us a new one

Learn to beat this team or at least compete

Embarrasing pathetic quarter.

Can't wait for this season to end already.

Where the fark is Lamumba - gives us zilch.

He's not the lone ranger.

So…how much of this is North being a horrendous matchup problem for us, how much is it us being outclassed by a top-8 quality team, and how much is our poor effort? Any takers?

Can't wait for this season to end already.

I think it just has

$hits me that the players pick & choose weeks they want to have a crack and put in effort... North are a side who love time & space and that exactly what we are giving them. Can't win a centre clearance either

Key to beating Melbourne—tag Nathan Jones out of it and hope Bernie Vince doesn’t play a blinder. Do that and the rest will play like training cones.

Nathan was crook during the week. Should have played Stretch.

We are their [censored]

My life long dream is watching someone flatten Harvey and knock him out.

Sadly all I see is hapless players not manning up and giving us nothing

Would love to win a [censored] clearance this quarter.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
