dazzledavey36 56,334 Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Not enough love for the mini Wrecker! Ever since my favorite player Matty Whelan retired we have never had the aggressive small forward that puts their body on the line for this club. Loving the work of Jetta and hope he gets to 150 games or even 200. I also believe he has also really grown as a leader and wouldn't be surprised to see him in the leadership within the next couple of years. From the outside it seems the players have alot of respect for Nev. Btw Matty Burgan has done a fantastic article on Jetta on his growth as a person and his leadership. 15 Quote
Nasher 33,686 Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 I'd think 150 would be a stretch given the slow start to his career, let alone 200. I just read Burgs' column article and I reckon he's in the Jetta Mancrush club. Understandable given the way he's gone about it since being rookie listed. It's been a while since a player has come back from the dead as he did. Quote

Neville has been awesome since essentially bringing his career back from the brink. You always know what you're going to get from him and he doesn't give an inch on the field. Love Nev's hardness. 3 Quote
Dee Dee 1,145 Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Neville's the sort of player we had in the John Northey days, tough and uncomplicated: love his work. 2 Quote
Demon_JB 1,389 Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 How good was his mark and thumping pack spoils.. Always cool under pressure. Love him! 5 Quote
Straight Sets Simon 23,113 Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 One of the best small defenders in the AFL, seems like a ripping bloke too. Love him. 4 Quote
Bang Bang Bang 5,875 Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 I'd say Jetta and vandenBerg are the hardest players to tackle in this team. In the modern game, that's a great skill to have. He's not the world's greatest kick but makes sensible decisions. Good player. 2 Quote
Rod Grinter Riot Squad 5,681 Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Someone please bump the thread when we put him on the rookie list Quote
Little Richard 6,265 Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Someone please bump the thread when we put him on the rookie list I don't think that's in danger of happening any time soon. Quote
Biffen 12,949 Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 I'm a massive fan. Jetta,Watts and Gawn are three blokes who I've always backed to come good. 1 Quote

Sideshow Bob 2,498 Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 still feeling ripped about him being pinged for holding the ball when Taylor Adams fell during the tackle and fully tripped him up. We sure do get some clangers from the umps (Watts being tunnelled last week and then getting done for high contact beggars belief as well) 5 Quote
Gorgoroth 13,220 Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 I was a massive critic of his pre delisting and was mystified why we rookies him. Been proven wrong since but was right prior. 2 Quote
DubDee 26,674 Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Love Jetts. was in the top 3 players on the ground on sat in my opinion. Defenders never get rewarded but he was great. having a settled backline is so important rarely makes a mistake and is tough. Quote
Cranky Franky 2,270 Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Some perspective please. Thought his last few weeks have been disappointing (along with many others). Saturday was arguably his best game for us. Lets hope he keeps up the good form. Quote

Some interesting comments there fellows and gals..... Interesting because reading all that majority of us wanted him to make it and were all disappointed when he was cut because we all knew he had it in him. Quote

whoszachunt 29 Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 I think he is one of our most courageous players, Takes a battering most games but picks himself up and gets on with it. No whinging when free kicks go against him, even when he was obviously legged on Saturday. I admire him. Reads the play well and finds a target most times. Definitely part of our future. 1 Quote

Some interesting comments there fellows and gals..... Ahhh the old days, when every [censored] thread became about Satyriconhome... As for Nev, absolute gem. On current form it's easy to forget he missed 6 weeks, and will still go well in the B&F. 1 Quote
Adam The God 30,730 Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Love Nev. He's tough, reads the play well and is certainly showing great leadership. 2 Quote
Cheap Seats 3,310 Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Love the jet How did his grab on the weekend not get in marks of the week? (Well not on the footy shows I saw) Quote
Bring-Back-Powell 15,548 Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Lucky he was brought back for that round 23 game against the Doggies, 2 years ago at Etihad. Played well in defense and obviously caught the eye of Roos at the time. Quote
