Neville Jetta

Not enough love for the mini Wrecker! Ever since my favorite player Matty Whelan retired we have never had the aggressive small forward that puts their body on the line for this club. Loving the work of Jetta and hope he gets to 150 games or even

200. I also believe he has also really grown as a leader and wouldn't be surprised to see him in the leadership within the next couple of years. From the outside it seems the players have alot of respect for Nev.

Btw Matty Burgan has done a fantastic article on Jetta on his growth as a person and his leadership.

I'd think 150 would be a stretch given the slow start to his career, let alone 200.

I just read Burgs' column article and I reckon he's in the Jetta Mancrush club. Understandable given the way he's gone about it since being rookie listed. It's been a while since a player has come back from the dead as he did.

Neville has been awesome since essentially bringing his career back from the brink. You always know what you're going to get from him and he doesn't give an inch on the field. Love Nev's hardness.

Neville's the sort of player we had in the John Northey days, tough and uncomplicated: love his work.

Yeah because you are such a prodigious picker of talent.....

Thanks Jnr-Yes I am.

My support for them all is documented here if you care to look through.

still feeling ripped about him being pinged for holding the ball when Taylor Adams fell during the tackle and fully tripped him up. We sure do get some clangers from the umps (Watts being tunnelled last week and then getting done for high contact beggars belief as well)

Love Jetts. was in the top 3 players on the ground on sat in my opinion. Defenders never get rewarded but he was great.

having a settled backline is so important

rarely makes a mistake and is tough.

There ya go. Some interesting comments there fellows and gals.....

Interesting because reading all that majority of us wanted him to make it and were all disappointed when he was cut because we all knew he had it in him.

I think he is one of our most courageous players, Takes a battering most games but picks himself up and gets on with it. No whinging when free kicks go against him, even when he was obviously legged on Saturday. I admire him.

Reads the play well and finds a target most times.

Definitely part of our future.

Ahhh the old days, when every [censored] thread became about Satyriconhome...

As for Nev, absolute gem. On current form it's easy to forget he missed 6 weeks, and will still go well in the B&F.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

    POSTGAME: Rd 13 vs Collingwood

It's Game Day and the Demons are once again faced with a classic 8 point game against a traditional rival on King's Birthday at the MCG. A famous victory will see them reclaim a place in the Top 8 whereas a loss will be another blow for their finals credentials.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
