30 points down. Let's go wide. Crazy town.

Paul roos / Ross Lyon ....play some different football play direct.....this is not working .im out from Surabaya....

Would like roos to just say no handballs to day boys

Worst umpiring I have ever seen. We've been completely blown out of the game from start to finish.

It's OK. Wayne Campbell will brush it off. He will tow the AFL line of denial and claim the umps were great and all the frees were there.

I wonder what possible reason the afl has for wanting the saints to win today. Anytime we got a bit of momentum they killed us. Every 50/50 went to them. Next week will be an 80 point loss. Might tune out for the rest of the year.

The umpiring is sh!t. But it is every week.

Not being able to find a teammate by hand or foot has blown us out of the game.

Not being able to kick straight for goal has blown us out of the game.

Having our forwards play from behind has blown us out of the game.

I will be interested how the football club is going to convince supporters to keep following this rabble over the next couple of years.

Its alright playing defensive footy but if you can't score you can,t win

4th quarter

worst game

watts fumbles

jetta turnovers x3

jetta holding the ball again

sideways and backwards

watts slips over then turnover and goal

fuc&%=king pathetic Mfc

aim for 250 kicks 150 handballd

Forty points in four quarters. Good one Melbourne. This is the team that wanted to take revenge. Please shut up next week.

There is no such thing as dropping the ball. There is no such thing as throwing the ball.

Have we been payed one? Saints getting them payed almost everytime.

I hate umpires most games but this has been an absolute disgrace.

OMG I know i've been banging on about the umpires but they are [censored] pathetic.......What a joke.

Saints aren't much so why can't we beat them?

Cancelled my direct debit membership, I can't give up a full day and $60 in petrol, parking etc for this club anymore, too long has this gone on and I can't take it anymore, I'm shot.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
