GAME DAY

How many goals do we gift the opposition every week because 70% of our players can't kick?

Not sure, but it's probably somewhere in the vicinity of 70%.

Jesus christ Bail frustrates the hell out of me. He has cost us two goals and almost one at the death. The bloke is a basket case. Actually a basket would probably be more effective.

Brayshaw will be a culture changer. He knew Enright was coming for him on the wing. He had the option of a panicky handball but took a hit for the team to ensure a stoppage. Love him.

Hes the best first year player at this club for years, no disrespect to Jesse.

Misson

That's right. Blame a bloke who's not even on the field.

You're watching a big part of the Melbourne resurgence for years to come today, Demonlanders. It's huge and has a beard.

Me?

It's called decision making....they have allowed thru turnovers to be scored against in the last 2 minutes of each quarters...

hope for bog 2nd half from howe

Jeemy Howe - 0 disosals

Needs to kick a couple of goals in the 2nd half. Hes not holding up his end of the bargain and we are in a winning position in what was supposed to be an unwinnable game.

Providing a massive contest though. You'd realise that if you actually watched the game.

I don't understand what is happening here.

It's the midfield stupid.

who is our sub?

must be [censored] if bail and matt jones are on the field.

Riley is the sub.

I'd expect him to come on for Bail.

Hes competing and bringing the ball down to dangerous areas and halving outnumbered contests. His opponent Kolodjashnij is dribbling on him and basically totally focussed on stopping him and not doing anything himself.

If this ends up close, Pig dog may just be the perfect sub once again to come on and bring some final quarter hurt to the Cats.

Me?

Gotta be honest, that's not how I pictured you looking.

I know it's Enrights 300th but can they talk about something else?

Many on here wanted to/want to delist Gawn.

Not on your life.

He's dominant.

I know it's Enrights 300th but can they talk about something else?

No chance. It's almost as if he's the first person to reach that milestone. He's been a wonderful player, sure, but they are going right over the top with it all.

I know it's Enrights 300th but can they talk about something else?

I hope they're still talking about it and the end of the game and how the Demons SPOILT it.

Me?

Without doubt you are a big part of the Dees future deanox, so take it as read.

  • AFLW REPORT: West Coast

Melbourne’s response to last week’s heartbreak was emphatic, as the Demons delivered a statement win over West Coast at a windswept Casey Fields. All of the pre-match hype surrounded the coach’s box matchup of Mick Stinear up against his apprentice, Daisy Pearce along with the gloomy weather forecast. In the end, it was less about tactical chess and more about Melbourne’s relentless execution. With rain looming, the DeeArmy and early birds snapped up the best undercover viewing spots.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: West Coast

Epic battle alert.  This Sunday, Casey Fields hosts a coach’s showdown pitting the wits of the master Mick Stinear (92 games, 71.7% win rate) against his protégé Daisy Pearce (16 games, 43.8%). Still early in her coaching journey, Daisy’s record doesn’t yet reflect her impact — but she’s already the best-performed coach at West Coast.Dais’ is mythic.  Like Katniss Everdeen, everyone either wants to kiss her, kill her (sporting metaphor) or be her.  Toothers Daisy Pearce is a role model, someone admired for their heart, humility and humour.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.
