Good fightback. As I said earlier, St Kilda's very mediocre but we're behind because we give them easy goals with bad turnovers.

We're capable of scoring, and scoring quickly (2 goals in 90 seconds, then 3 goals in 3 minutes) but the errors are not good enough. But I take solace from the fact that it's only 6 points despite the errors.

Watts is playing really well, obviously Hogan too. Viney, Toumpas and Brayshaw are also impressing.

The kids are alright (even if ANB and Stretch appear way off AFL level for me right now). It's the leaders that, once again, will win or lose this game for this club.

This is going to be under a future beer bottle cap

Q: How did AFL teams beat the demons side under Paul Roos

A: Put an extra player in defence

Gawn has been dominating the ruck, we looked better once our players started reading his taps. Pity he can't take a mark.

Watts looks fantastic. Glad to see him taking the game on and demanding the football. He's going into contests hard, too.

if Gawn's marks start sticking he'll be a star. Always in the right spot just doesn't hold em.

Its criminal how we (mfc) allow that easy run from our half forward

While I don't believe Roos is to blame it's a clear blight we can't hold the ball in our f50

Some more thoughts.

Watts loves playing at Etihad. The ping pong style seems to suit him. If I was in charge of St.Kilda or any of the Etihad teams, I'd consider trading for him at the end of the year.

Viney's tackle was one of the best I've ever seen! It's a shame it still ended up in a Saints goal not long after it.

I've nearly thrown my remote at the TV on several occasions and still might if the Saints blow us out of the water after half time.

Great to see Viney Toump and Wattsy going ok. Vineys been great actually

I would be so happy if Jimmy could eliminate the inside ball panic he has. I reckon we have to just accept that he just doesnt cut it in close, tell him to stay outside, and use his beautifully weighted kicking to spot up leading forwards.

Bring it Jimmy.

That Hogan fella goes okay. Might keep him.

He's no Max King yet.

You don't get to keep Hogan.

Hogan decides if he wants to be kept.

And you know its true.

I think in the second he put his body on the line a couple times (had more impact then some senior players)

While I agree he does panic - I think he's been playing a lot better recently

Not as classy as Brayshaw but doing good things the Toump.

Cross has been fine. The bloke who's been hopeless is Jeremy Howe. Back to his lazy best.

Disagree. I think he's made some good decisions under pressure today.

Maxxy is feeding the mids nicely - he has to be our number 1 ruckman.

I have been a Howe apologist but it's hard to defend his year.

Great to see Watts, Toump improving.

Still carrying some dead wood but the youngsters give a lot of hope.

Reckon we will run over the top of them.

His got hart Jimmy, I've seen him at the bottom of the pack a couple of time this game. I can see his trying to win his own ball which shows me he is trying to change his game style which I love.

I think there's quite a few positives out of 1st half - we've absorbed the pressure and hit them on the counter.

Do fear we will lose this game at the selection table. While I think we've young talent we've thrown too many in on the one day. Can't carry ANB & Stretch in the same game.

Well done Toumpas. Stick it up some of the so called 'supporters' on this forum

Hey Dubbo watch the first quarter

He is not worth $600,000 and has never shown that he will ever be worth that much.

Liked him better in defence.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
