Boomer Harvey is such a pest.

See the move he pulled against West Coast last week? Very much pest-worthy

The commentators probably had to stop themselves saying that Geelong had two byes in a row.

Would love to knock off those arrogant pricks next week but we won't.

They had a bye last week against EFC...good they aren't on the rebound and primed for a loss.

Who is the genius at the AFL who decided that GWS should wear the predominantly white guernsey against Collingwood? I would have thought their mainly orange number would have suited better as a clash strip myself.

Agreed. Presumably it is same genius who decreed that Port had to wear their away jumper in a home final last year because Richmond couldn't be stuffed coming up with a decent clash strip.

Genius.......and......AFL.

Two things that probably ought never occur in the same sentence

he who will not be named is having another very good game.

now that he's about 7th midfielder down the ranks he's really starting to play well. the little so-and-so.

gws should be miles up against the filth but they keep wasting opportunities.

GWS should've put this away by half time.

Now they look like getting done by 30 plus.

The umps do a good job of not letting Collingwood get too far out of touch.

Possibly but the Pies rarely put in a crappy performance. Buckley has them well tuned at the moment. They are the real deal "hard to beat" team that MN infamously claimed we were going to be ^_^

And Cloke picks today to have touch of the yips. There is no god

I really don't think it would have mattered if he was slightly off fndee. Pies are the No.1 team at scoring from turnovers. I'm not sure where we sit with turnover averages vs other AFL clubs but I doubt we would be doing very well with it. We may not be the worst either but we certainly seem to turn it over in our back half a fair bit which doesn't help our cause.

11 individual goal kickers so far and turnovers 33/10 in favour of the Pies. Very disciplined and pretty much always bring great pressure in general play and a solid full press.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
