I reckon joeboy's comment on McDonald is very harsh and completely misguided. Players have poor games sometimes; he's been arguably our best player over the season, I think it's grossly unfair to accuse him of an over-inflated ego after one poor performance.

described jack watts as a "bipolar performances" is absurd, apart from being hugely insulting about this very unfortunate condition. The Regs should censor this immediately

One of my relatives is bipolar, and I can tell you Jack Watts is so far away from bipolar that it is not funny. If this poster is determined to insult our number one draft pick, thereby ensuring he leave, then it may give him varcarious pleasure, but it makes this demon suppiorter extremely angry. All it will do is ensure he leaves. God we shoot ourselves in the foot sometimes.

I think the coaching staff might have erred too. Sometimes they don't get every matchup right. Sometimes the balance between reacting (and changing) and persisting (trust...no panic) is a fine line.

I like the 3 word analysis; but it fails to take into consideration coaching box issues.

He was talking about the forwards competing and ensuring he was kept accountable. He didn't necessarily want a specific man on him, just that the forwards were to make sure he didn't get the easy mark, as he did over and over again.

Collingwood also did very well to subtly stop our forwards getting to him, which is against the rules, but it was well hidden.

I almost agree - I don't think our forwards were hard enough at it on the long ball (rather than them being subtly stopped)

If we bombed it long and it went to the only person in defense being the Collingwood loose player then I have problem - but Oxley took numerous marks in and around our forwards. They didn't make a contest.

It was a combination of both, in the first half he was happy to have the loose in our backline, but from half time onwards he wanted us to go to a 7 man forward line and man up the loose man.

The second point about protecting the marking space was something i was surprised about on game day, but the collingwood players did it really well and its something we need to do better in our backline when we have the loose.
