Damn, was a nice fightback but as usual we just got lazy and gave up cheap goals at the end

Come on boys dont stop now

Roos is right.

As soon as we stop playing as a team, start playing like buggered, unfit amateur footballers, it's unsurprising that the opposition gets on top.

Will be a battle of the fittest at the end.

I reckon we r cooked again.

We didn't score at all for the last 9min and as soon as Collingwood put the pressure on our disposal went to shitz.

I am conducting a little experiment today. I delayed watching the game on the box because the good lady was delayed getting home. We are about 1 quarter behind but I am reading the posts on here. I thought after post 247 we were about 60 points down judging by the comments. At the 14 minute mark of the game we are 1 point down in the 2nd quarter. Seriously people when Roos talks about mental scars I reckon he includes D'landers as well. We look good at the moment and reckon we will be in front by half time. Lets be a bit positive on here. In the terms of Donald Sutherland (dees just hit the front) in Kelly's Heroes "Enough with the negative vibes".

6 in a row against the filth. Where is my Red Wine waiter?

If we continue to let them play Oxley as a loose man in defense, we'll lose. We need Pig Dog to put a hard tag on Pendles until he can't run any more then sub him off and get Matt Jones to do the same. Pendlebury's tearing us a new one.

Gawn is having a big influence in the middle.

Sadly as soon as we get the ball we crap our pants. Big occasion getting to the players?

Brayshaw is the most composed out there and has the least experience. Go figure.

We put an extra down back and so did they. Difference is they can hit a target going forward and we just bomb it long to Hogan and 3 Collingwood defenders.

Smart vs Dumb

The bombing it long into the forward line is something I've almost managed to coach out of my Year 2 auskick side, Roosy and the gang persisting with it at AFL level though I see. FMD

We didn't play bad in last 9 minutes. The change was Oxley being spare man in defence.

Roos needs to man it up. We were on top last week until Port put Ebert back as spare

In the dying minutes of quarters, we need leaders to stand up.

Those two late goals were both caused by turnovers, both from Garland. The opposite of what we need.

I've had fun, that's what matters.

Give me some more in the 2nd half ya mugs.

Wait and keep watching.

Getting the Red wine googles on. Always looks better when I have them on. Are you suggesting that perhaps my positivity is misplaced (Elliot just goaled) B*gger!

Roos out coached badly half way through the second quarter. We had the momentum, Buckley put a spare back, Roos did nothing. Collingwood kick the next four goals. The spare man Oxley marked three kicks into our fifty.

Poor poor coaching.

Not getting enough from Riley, Newton or Pederson

Agreed, and there is room to improve. I thought Pedersen lifted in the second and Newton has laid 5 tackles to half time. They are contributing but need to do more in the second half for us to win.

Pedo has set up 2 goals!

If we can see that Oxley is killing us as a spare (and to quote Rowan Atkinson "I think we can...") then certainly roos and those in the box can too. So can some one who knows more about footy than I do they'll me why we don't make it one on one?

Garland is not having a good game at all. Poor decision making. Has had a kick smothered at least 4 times I reckon. Needs to find another way to go forward.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
