nah but it would be a Goodwin initiative, which the rest will probably follow as to not undermine the future boss

Did we offer both picks? If so, I'm glad it didn't pan out. I wouldn't even trade Brayshaw on his own for Danger.

Yeah we did..Very happy the trade didn't go through. Can't wait to see Petracca out there alongside Brayshaw.

It is around Schwab levels, I won't deny this, but I'm in good company here.

No coach would want to be surrounded by sycophants and yes-men, nor would an assistant last if this were his M.O.

Isn't it? Because at that time Melbourne were offering picks 2 and 3 lol.. It's not about what Adelaide want to settle for, Dangerfield has to agree to be traded to the club and unfortunately the way it's going it's Geelong or nothing. We are offering Adelaide pick 6 this year and 1st round next year, Adelaide are all over that but Dangerfield isn't accepting a trade to Melbourne.

It was an off the cuff comment. Pick 1 in any draft is better than a compo pick around the 13/14 mark.

SS is a scrubber.

a very good cultured, & DNA scrubber... & he would walk into our current team.

It wont just be Goodwin it will be a group decision. Do you think Goodwin could just overrule the opinion of the rest of the footy staff?

& it won't be just a milkman, it'll be a baker & a candlestick maker, were after. the milkman will be just a small part of our bigger ambitions.

For whatever it's worth, mentioned on BF by a GWS supporter that Tom Bugg is a lock to come to us.

I call BS on this. There's a GWS supporter? :P

That just put you on the ASIO watch list!

He will be put on an Asio hit list ..... Inshallah !!!!!!!!

Well then, I just don't see us losing a game next year.

Made me giggle... thought id post the appreciation

No a graders as we'd hope for (hopefully yet) but handy additions in their own right... Well time will tell... Surely an upgrade on a few we have now though

Ideally, yes. But I'm suspicious that Carlton's most recently departed coach might have operated that way.

Heard KB and Dr Turf on the radio this morning talking about richmonds interest in getting Dom Tyson to tigerland

Surely this is not serious

Richmond are in an interesting space for us. They think they're close to being a contender and will therefore sacrifice high picks for ready made players that fill their perceived weaknesses.

So maybe there's an opportunity for us with Tyson to Tigers...

They have picks 12, 31, 49... and players? what would be acceptable for Dom?

Forget about it, if Martin wasn't such a d.... then him.

Agree, the list at Tigerland looks average, but I'm not that familiar with whos who and we'd be looking at a Mid to replace a mid...

Considering our needs at the moment and the deficiencies that still plague the midfield, Dom is one of our almost untouchable players. He will still be a gun - the guy is only 21.

Really? Brad Green doesn't strike me as that kind of fellow.

  • NON-MFC: Round 06

The Easter Round kicks off in style with a Thursday night showdown between Brisbane and Collingwood, as both sides look to solidify their spots inside the Top 4 early in the season. Good Friday brings a double-header, with Carlton out to claim consecutive wins when they face the struggling Kangaroos, while later that night the Eagles host the Bombers in Perth, still chasing their first victory of the year. Saturday features another marquee clash as the resurgent Crows look to rebound from back-to-back losses against a formidable GWS outfit. That evening, all eyes will be on Marvel Stadium where Damien Hardwick returns to face his old side—the Tigers—coaching the Suns at a ground he's never hidden his disdain for. Sunday offers two crucial contests where the prize is keeping touch with the Top 8. First, Sydney and Port Adelaide go head-to-head, followed by a fierce battle between the Bulldogs and the Saints. Then, Easter Monday delivers the traditional clash between two bitter rivals, both desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top end of the ladder. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • REPORT: Essendon

What were they thinking? I mean by “they” the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around. It’s no secret that the Demons’ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack. Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryan’s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winning 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.
