The one that causes him to seek a transfer to a better club.

His got the non rookie salary so it's irrelevant whether he is on the field or not.

Interesting that Toumpas isn't even in the squad. He's coming from a long way back.

I think Riley or Pedersen are the best bests to fill the final spot.

Now I know how the people of Troy felt. Call me bitter, but I've never been so satisfied to see an injured foot.

Good to see Toump not considered. He needs to properly develop all parts if his game at vfl level. Once his confidence and hardness increase and he is dominating games, he will be back in

Pederson will make the 22 I reckon.

Ps check out freos extended bench. Would mind having that sort of depth. I have a feel sandi will be a late withdrawal for Hannath

I'm hoping that has more to do with match-ups/required roles rather than anything else. I suspect it is to do with his defensive game. If an outside player was needed he would be a more likely inclusion.

But it does signal he has work to do in the coaches eyes which goes beyond no of possessions.

Fantastic to see Jack G back hope he holds his spot for the rest of the year and sticks around for many years to come. Go Dees.

I thinks its the 2nd ruck dilemma

Agreed Maggot. The Monster will win the hit outs. So much as I like Spencer, I cant see any value including him because we cant be sure of his value up forward. So do we go with Pedo to support Jamar in at least trying to stop the Monster directing his hit outs and giving another marking option or do we go with a burrower to make a contest at ball ups etc?

Toump was sent to casey with some specific goals to tick off for his development, i'm glad to see he will be able to keep working on those

would hate to be a defender strolling out of the backline with the tackle machine Brayshaw sniffing around, he's bound to make people nervous with ball in hand.

really looking forward to Hogan vs Mcpharlane

Ultimately i think we will see the inclusions finish with Grimes and Riley as the sub, i don't think playing spencer as well would be good for team balance/make all that much difference in the ruck, i think Sandilands form is just going to mean our mids have to be willing to read off him a little bit more.

I think we will try and run with an extra mid - Geelong never win hit outs and Sydney always just attempt to half that area of the ground and win the contested ball. Im concerned with our lack of pace to match up against Hill, Pearce etc

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
