He kicked a goal from just outside the 50. Therefore the kick was at least 55m.

I think he's sorted it out.

He had tight hamstrings a few weeks ago hence the reason he struggled kicking long.

As he was lining up for that kick i said to my uncle that his only downside was he wouldn't be able to make that 50+ distance... Well he proved me wrong (and i was happy about it)

It does not matter that he cant kick goals from 40+ meters, he will take heaps of contested marks close to goal, and he will improves his kicking from 40 +

I was sitting next to my old man at the game and said the exact same thing. Haha

I also think that his kicking penetration drops late in games as he gets tired

He had another shot from around 50m later in the game and it wasn't quite as good

He obviously is still working on his fitness, and with this improving so will his kicking. We often see skills drop in young players as the game and the season wears on.

Been a lot of industry chatter this week after that damning non-effort vision from Cripps last week.

One more blinder from Hogan and it's his.

Might come down to dees v carlton

Viney to Cripps will be the showdown of the century.

And by showdown, I mean Viney burying Cripps' head into the turf for 120 minutes.

Jesse simply has to win the rising star.

Going to finish with 40 goals and number 1 in the comp in contested marks! Cripps should not even be in the conversation

Cripps should be in the conversation, but only to say: “Cripps would win any other year, but Jesse Hogan is a once in a generation forward, so…."

Yeah, na.

Why not? I havent seen a first year midfielder as good as him for a while, and it's not like he can feed off a Gary Ablett like O Meara did in his first ,Cripps had 35 disposals yesterday... Edited by Henrietta Lumbago

How Cripps slipped so far down the draft I will never know.

Didn't he get taken higher than expected? Everyone was saying too slow.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. TRAINING: Wednesday 15th January 2025

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
