I remember a kid in primary school told me and the other kids his Dad had a Ferrari. He was always late to get picked up by his old man and one day my mum was late as well. He was picked up before me by his Dad who was driving a red Datsun. I questioned him and asked him why he made up the story about the Ferrari, he answered "So I was popular and made friends."

I want to know what your mum was driving ET?

We actually have bemoaned in the past not having a plan B but I have noticed that both Watts and Hogan spend time up the field and although Gawn has pushed forward this year he did so more than i have seen before on Saturday.  That makes us unpredictable.

When it does get crowded up forward and Jesse can struggle in a very closed forward line they have moved him up the ground to very good affect. I would much prefer him kicking lots of goals but against Richmond and Collingwood where he didnt really impact the scoreboard greatly he took 10 and 9 marks and thats because he went further up the ground. ( even spending the last parts of quarters as a defender)

Good coaching for mine  ...

Trades are suggested and many are actively worked on through trade week. 1 in 10 or so turn to reality.  That the trade was not completed does not mean that it was not on the table, and looked likely to be completed. Would you prefer I said nothing?

The unrepresented percentage stated would NOT prefer that you said nothing. I for one appreciate most people's points of view.

Again, this is not going to come down to money (unless Freo do offer him 15 over 10 which would be idiocy on Hogan's part to refuse)

If the boy wants to go home, then he wants to go home. Nothing anyone can do if that is the most important thing to him (as is his right).

However one thing leaving would not provide is legacy (for what it's worth).

if I was advising him I would remind him of Michel Jordan's comments in relation to Lebron James leaving Cleveland:

'There's no way in hindsight I would have ever called up Larry or   Magic and said, hey look, let's get together and play in one team. But that...things are different. I can't say thats a bad thing. It's an opportunity these kids have today. In all honesty, I was trying to beat those guys...'

Granted the situations are different but the salient point is he can forge his own destiny and beat the best around him, rather than leave to make being the best much easier.

I'd actually prefer us to trade one of these two then Nibbler. Really think he's going to be something.

You'd rather trade Dom Tyson than Alex Neal-Bullen?

Assuming this is for Prestia right?

there is absolutely no way in the world Dom Tyson would agree to a trade out of victoria.

the club would know who they're prepared to offer up in order to get someone like Dion to the club, i'm certain Dom isn't once of those players

Personally think Neal-Bullen is going to be a very, very good player. I like Tyson and think he'll continue to be a good player also, but have a hunch Neal-Bullen could end up being better.

If the question is who's a better player now, Tyson or Neal-Bullen? Well of course Tyson is, he's got three years development on Nibbler who's in his 2nd year.

Yep, not saying he would.

Just staggered that AngryAtCasey would rather trade him than ANB. That's up there with the more astounding things I've ever read on here.

There was a post where someone said that they knew a recruiter from another club, who thought ANB could be one of the steals of his year. As with Hunt, Harmes, etc, some players need a bit of time to get the body right, the attitude right, the confidence in place before they can produce their best. I think Stretch and ANB could become very good players for us.

Besides T Cloke, who else has had this much media scrutiny + delayed talks... And stayed in the end?

I would say the vast majority of players that delay talks in the second last year of their contract end up staying.

Don't want to lose him, but 15 million over ten years for a forward that doesn't lead, sounds a bit much. Needs to lead more or we need to learn how to deliver it the way he wants it.

Nice try troll

Club going all out for Prestia... Pick 3 would have sealed the deal. I understand the frustration. Dees still very confident he will be in red and blue 2016.

there's nothing wrong with that post

i'd say other things to you but I'm not allowed

Honestly if he leaves for home factors may as well desolve  the draft as its a joke.. Completely makes a mockery of it as it was designed for clubs to recruit & build a list.. Not develope players so clubs like freo, swans etc can walk in & get a ready made gun!

Keep on saying at least the Epl et can sell players which allows them to go & buy a bunch of players ..

Hasn't proved himself at AFL level yet. Got on the end of a few against Geelong last year but really hasn't shown much yet. That said, his form has warranted selection for a month or so and I look forward to seeing if he can bring something when his chance comes.

I'm bemused that some on here still don't get what we've got with Tyson! He is only 22 (ANB is 20). Recruiting him is only marginally shaded by the Vince deal, and he has at least six more years with MFC after Bernie retires!

afl.com.au Footy Feed said that Hogan is currently back home in Perth

Surely that is not true?

Posted

Don't know if it's mentioned anywhere else but Hogan didn't train today because he's in Perth visiting family as reported on AFL Tonight.

If there are any pickpockets on here after a 15 million dollar cheque, head to Melb Airport and wait.

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
