Spread the lov song. If need be can u pm me so I'm with the "in" crowd?

I'm so happy Hogan's NT Tourism Ambassador Deal has been approved by the AFL. We were really going to struggle fitting that extra $5m into the salary cap.

Lol what?

Do explain?

Haven't you gotten a PM yet?

There was also something about Visy and brown paper bags... but rest assured, Hogan's being looked after. I saw him the other day at the 5-storey Toorak penthouse which Peter Jackson generously donated to him.

I am not one for betraying confidences, but could someone please betray a confidence and just inform this thread of the tidbit?

I can't believe he's charging us all $50 for PMing this information.

I'm done. There was a reason I didn't want to post it here. If I PM everyone I may as well have posted it. :P Hopefully it'll be revealed soon anyway.

Thanks 'Adam', you've been a great sport sending all the PM's...and prompted some fun posts as well. Cheers.

Late to the party here (far too immersed in the D&T board to keep up with this one), but, if PM's are still going around, I'd love to get one too. Cheers

At the risk of outing myself as a troglodyte WTF is a PM?

Its a 'Personal Message'. If you click on your name 'chook fowler' at the top right of the of the page you will see the words 'Personal Messager'. Click on it and its like an email system within the Demonland Family. (copies of PM's go to your 'real' email address as well.

Hope this helps.

Edit: I have just sent you a PM as an example, you should see a '1' lit up on the envelope icon at the top right of any Demonland page.

Gah ill say it, the term of the deal is looking like 6 years ontop of the two he has, and it's looking "positive"

What i'm hoping they are doing is re-doing his contract and giving him the big fish money next year then significantly less for the next 50 years.

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The media has performed a complete reversal in its coverage of the Melbourne Football Club over the past month and a half. Having endured intense criticism from all quarters in the press, which continually identified new avenues for scrutiny of every aspect, both on and off the field, and prematurely speculated about the departures of coaches, players, officials, and various employees from a club that lost its first five matches and appeared out of finals contention, the narrative has suddenly shifted to one of unbridled optimism.  The Demons have won five of their last six matches, positioning themselves just one game (and a considerable amount of percentage) outside the top eight at the halfway mark of the season. They still trail the primary contenders and remain far from assured of a finals berth.

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.
