H Lumumba Cannabis Beat-Up

So smoking weed is equivalent to hanging out with bikies and whatever else that loser Swan has gotten himself, and others, into?

And HL actually asked the AFL about the ramifications of second hand smoke...what kind of 'loose cannon' does that?

Nick Maxwell said that Collingwood tolerate Swan but have told him that he must not fraternise with the younger players, what a healthy situation that is...

Swan couldn't even spell Rastafarian let alone know what they are

I must say, if my workplace was going drug testing, I'd be curious to know if passive effects would trigger a positive result.

If someone near me lights up a joint, am I going to lose my job??

I understand the seriousness of drugs in society but I find this one quite amusing.

And, if I had any, I would be almost willing to put money on the fact that Barrett himself has indulged in the weed at some time in his life (would be very very few who haven't in this day and age). Hell, even Piers Akerman is great mates with Kinky Friedman... so anything is possible.

I am lead to believe that such an activity is traditionally shared between friends.

It is quite likely that Barrett has never had the opportunity.

Herry passively smoked ganga and when he woke up found himself at Melbourne.

If ever further proof of the risks of illicit drug consumption was needed, there it is!

Yes I know what H is going through.

Just about every night there is a band of Rastas that come around and smoke my house out.

The result is that I have a very high THC content in my blood.

Luckily, they all go away when I turn the music off or put on some different tunes.

Damien Barrett doesn't need to know about it. It is a part of my religion.

i don't question his right to believe in the holy book of Bulldust and scum sucking ,bottom feeder ,parasitism.

So nice to have Damien back

What a pathetic story, filling quota time on that boredom extraudinare. "The Footy Show"

Having spent years working alongside journalists i seriously wonder how a % of them sleep at night.

Barrett deserves a late night visit after uncovering this pile of nothing.

Is it a crime to seek clarification Damien??

They don't sleep WYL, they're too busy seeking out the truth on our behalf.

So now, players who seek to clarify the AFL/ASADA rules will have their names leaked, and be publicly slandered in the first footy show of each season, when they start at a new club?

That'll be good for improving the culture of informed responsibility...

So, the question is: Was it Barrett working alone, digging through rubbish bins, or did he have help from someone who [acted illegally] to [breach the confidentiality at the heart of the AFLPA's agreement to the recreation drug testing]?

Laws have actually been broken in this matter, and not by Lumumba.

Or maybe it comes from the Westpac Centre. A bit of payback. Just wait until Queens Birthday!

Agree. And if true, it is a pathetic way to treat a premiership player, who gave them 10 years and 198 games.

I would be talking to a Lawyer about the comments made by the idiots on the show and I include our former Captain. I smell a payout to HL if he takes action. Look carefully at what Sam said.

I would also be complaining to the AFL, about questions asked in compliance with the drug code being ridiculed and private conversations between players and the AFL being revealed to the public.

One of my staff is a genuine observant Rasta mon. Hasn't had a haircut for over 25 years and his dreadlocks are down past his arse. Doesn't drink, smoke cigarettes or takes other drugs. He smokes choof for religious observance only. So if by chance HL was dabling in the religion and gets into strife for smoking choof he can claim religious discrimination. Real Rastas despite their freaked out appearance are socially quite conservative. They believe gays are a Babylonian abomination for one thing.

I'm thinking that it wont even need to be Lumumba or the MFC who go after Barrett, the AFL Player's Association should be going after this in a big way.

What is left of privacy if player's can't even ask questions confidentially without it becoming a beat-up scandal?

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t
