Denham losing his venom

Never forget the people who kicked you while you were down.

We will be great again, one day, and I sincerely hope the likes of Venom, Purple, and the likes are still around when it's our time. (Nb. I also hope the likes of Old Dee are still around too).

“However, they will win more games than last season and I think they’re on the way back.”

Ok which one of you held a gun to his head to make him say that?

Denham predicted we'd win the flag in 2007.

And it's taken a long time for him to forgive us.

who are you and what have you done with Greg Denham

That debt that keeps being mentioned is gained from an asset we acquired yes?

Would love an exploration of that claim that has come up a few times now in the last couple of days...

Never to be forgiven

Whatever you think of Denham he was dead right in quite a few areas.

He is still a [censored].

We were a rabble and he called us out on it, and now he can see the changes and is giving us recognition for it.. How is he a dick?

While I though denham was a [censored] at the time due to some of the criticisms he levelled at us, it turns out in hindsight he was spot on.

I hope he is spot on with his latest assessment of us.

Played for Essssss didn't he says it all

I have listened to him the last 2 days and its so strange to hear him say nice things about us. He has turned his hatred onto the dogs and also giving essendon and hird a serve which is funny.

But over the years what he said hasnt been that far off the mark but it was more to do with schwab neeld and our recruiting.

Denham stated a crusade against our club.

Happy for him to tell the world

But not year in year out.

I hated all the shite press we got but it was pretty much right

Denham obviously had inside info to how bad our last CEO was running our club

We should be thanking him....

He said on SEN a few days ago that he was having lunch with Roosey that afternoon. Must have been a good one with Roosey picking up the bill!

Never forgive this nob for Calling us the Brisbane Bears for at least two years!

I'd rather be struggling than be the flat track bullys like west coast who he supports!

Get Jeffed Venom you debbie [censored] downer!!

“It was very evident that Peter Jackson has drawn a line in the sand and they don’t want to look back at all.”

Denham stated a crusade against our club.

Happy for him to tell the world

But not year in year out.

It took that long to fix.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
