Instead of hopping into Frawley, let's applaud the Club for the way that they handled it! In the end the Club got some good positive publicity and created a 'feel-good' story!

Frawley could at the very least have taken out a quaddie and given the kid half the winnings back. Would have taught the young whippersnapper the meaning of life and how to find happiness on the punt. He's the right age to start learning life's valuable lessons. Typically, of a big headed, highly paid AFL footballer!

In the past Frawley has been shown giving back to kids so I wouldn't hammer him on this one.

Let's be a bit charitable and take the positives out of the club coming good here rather than slamming 'Chip'.

2) gambling is the best use of money; or

3) it is always best to share your winnings with somebody who needs the money more; or

What struck me is the $15 wasn't just any $15, it was his reward for kicking his first goal (under 10's)! Who knows how long he had cherished it...months, years? Clearly it meant a lot to the little fella. Its sad that James didn't get the poignancy of the gesture and respond accordingly.

To be fair to James, leaving it in his locker was probably an oversight or maybe he didn't even open it as leaving cash lying around a locker isn't very smart. I hope he learns of the story and feels a touch embarrassed.

Anyway, its great that young Isaac got the original $15 back and hope he goes on to kick many many more goals!!

i remember when I was younger and writing to the players. I still treasure my hand written letters from Jimmy and glenn lovett and robbo.

I write letters to them but never get responsed (sic)... I can't understand why not. I even sign off with my name and age, Timmy age 62 and a half. I just don't think they're as friendly as they used to be when I was 10. Must be a generational thing.

There is always the possibility Frawley did not know what a letter was. Maybe he thought it was something you put in your locker for pest control to prevent socks from getting moth eaten?

The club did a great thing for the kid and that's what the article is about.

So important to get primary school kids to hand write every day, does good things for developing the young brain as well as hand/eye skills (writes the bloke typing into a keyboard). But I digress...
