The Devil Inside

Recommended Posts

As I said most of they players I asked think the Saints will go with McCartin, nobody there from recruiting to ask unfortunately, most agree it doesn't really matter anyway as the top 3 are all good so it is a win/win no matter which way it falls

Roos has as good as confirmed on the radio (3AW) this evening that we will be drafting Brayshaw and Petracca tomorrow. He made this claim on the basis that the interviewers were adamant that McCartin would be picked by St. Kilda. A decent midfield at last? Now all we need is to focus on another tall that might slip through to pick 40!

Oh good two more 18 yr olds for Demonland to regard as saviours unless of course they don't get 30+possies, kick 3 goals lay 6 tackles and look exceedingly good on camera in their post first senior game interview, unless Roos considers them ready in April, doubt we will see them except at Casey

As for the Tapscott question, the way it was answered, think he is gone,.....but who knows if there is nothing left in the rookie draft

Wish the guys would train more often. Reading training report posts is one of the more enjoyable parts of our footy year.

Thanks Saty/TDI, George, R&B etc.

I agree and we wont lose a game for months.

If you promise to give them some breathing space and let them acclimatise to the club and their new surroundings for at least a couple of weeks, before you begin your usual oldest fanboy in the world routine and pester them from the boundary at training, then we promise not to judge them in their first few weeks of football..

It is just that it is more open now, I can ask the players or Dave Misson and get an answer, in the past it would be a mystery injury or illness, Misson said nothing is serious and it is November, only one who is 'serious' is Trengove, Spencer is a big, big unit so if he reported a bit of back soreness the alarm bells would ring, he was fine today. Harmes was absolutely gutted he got glandular put him back a few weeks, really impressed me that he said twice that he was going to work over the Xmas break to catch up

Hay Satyr (sorry, I can't get used to your new name), I respect what you are saying and that you are reporting on what Harmes is saying...but I have a question about the statement "he was going to work over the Xmas break to catch up". Do we believe all the other footballers (our team and all the others) won't be doing any training or fitness work over the Xmas break? So what does he mean? Is he going to go into the clubrooms to train during that time? If so, does that fit in with the players CBA?

Re: CBA - players get a couple of weeks off over the Christmas break, most (if not all) do some form of fitness training recommended by club staff. It'd be a similar situation to the younger players resuming training earlier than they should have this year, the players association got involved but nothing came of it because the players made the decision, they weren't told they had to do it.

Lol that's alright OD you're at an age now where you can do whatever you like :)

So am i, so I will make sure I get pictures of the new recruits and put them on my Twitter account for all who want to see

He was [censored] off he got glandular, felt he made real progress last season, coaching staff agreed, hence his second year, put him right back at the beginning of pre season again, hoping to get the weight back on in next week or two and have a program set he can follow over the Xmas break and catch up

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
