oh dear, what a pity

guess we'll just have to settle for a 2nd rounder or yarran

Can't imagine getting much for him. He's delivered very little but I reckon in a good environment he could actually do ok. Would be very happy with a 3rd rounder, and if they want to do a trade for Yarran plus maybe a pick upgrade for Carlton.

Surely not a swap for Robinson. Please god no!

This one is going straight on Super's list of horrible things to have happened to the Melbourne Football Club; lose top draft pick who never delivered, got Mitch Robinson back.

Kill me now.

A first rounder with years of development? I expect the same in return.

We won't get much, will end up being something like a Morton deal just to get him off the list.

Kane Lucas would be like for like.

Not excited...

I wreckon Blease has more upside than most of our list

He wrecked every one of his chances don.

Can't say I'm interested in many of Carlton's players. Or at least, none that could be realistically available.

Just a pick upgrade, thanks. Cheers.

Blease's problem is endurance. In the modern game pace is useless unless you also have the endurance to run hard from first bounce to final siren of every quarter.

thanks moonie, now that you had to go and say that we'll probably get him now, ffs

As per tradition shurely the CEOs will seal the deal with a handshake and Bleasey will head off to Carlton for their first rounder.

I'd send him packing for Garlett. At least Jeffy boy has proved he can play a full year and kick some sausages.

But really couldn't care either way

I reckon he might have been an excellent attacking player to use as a specialist substitute. He could have easily broken the lines and kicked goals when the opposition were stuffed but I am sure there will be many that will disagree with me and I am just simply stating an opinion. He is also a top bloke, not that being a good bloke is particularly relevant to football but I am sure that he is popular at he club.

Blease for Gartlett... fair swap

It is a fair swap but also is it a waste of paperwork? Their defensive abilities are as bad as each others

He'll come on next year, just like sylvia...

  • PREVIEW: West Coast

It was bad enough that the Melbourne Football Club created yet another humiliating scenario inside its wretched season at Marvel Stadium last Sunday, but the final insult is that it has been commanded to return to the scene of the crime to inflict further punishment on its fans this week. Incidentally, if this match preview, of a game that promises to be one of the most unattractive fixtures in the history of the game, happens to cut out of your computer screen three quarters of the way through, it’s no coincidence. I’ll be mirroring the Demons’ lacklustre effort against St Kilda from last Sunday when they conceded the largest last quarter turnaround for victory in the history of the game.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.
