That photo is from 2007.

Since then it's been more like this

this is a depressing thread. it'll be interesting to see what people are predicting in March when we have wiped 2014 from our memory, finals anyone?

remember we were ahead in the last Q of 10 games this year (I think?), no reason to think we wont improve with another pre-season of Roosey and the young guys getting fitter. I predict 8-10 wins

Carn the Dees! only 6 months til round 1. woo hoo!! :-)

and, had we managed to hold on and win even half of those we would have had a quite respectable 9 wins.

Around 6 wins (maybe 7-8) would be a decent improvement and a pass mark for mine. The addition of Hogan along with Jeffy, La Bamba and Frosty will hopefully contribute to some improved performances. Not expecting any miracles next year.

6-7 wins. I just hope we don't drop off at the end of the year again, that was a real kick in the guts. I don't know why, I should be used to it but that hurt man.

We'll have the personnel to win 8-10 games but it's up to whether we can muster a convincing, healthy team together and play like one. Our belief was shot in the final moments of our Port Adelaide (x2) and Bulldogs (x2) matches. All I wish is for us to leave nothing in the tank in Round 1, throw everything at it, no matter who we're playing. Our last 3 years, our opening 3 rounds have been atrocious. I just want us to already look like a team once the ball's bounced in the opening game

I really have no idea.

It would be absolutely disastrous if they went another season with less than 6 wins. From an off-field perspective, it would make it very hard for the club.

I was hopeful of 6 wins this year. We didn't get that, but were close. It could have easily been 8 wins.

Is 10 wins out of the question? I don't think it's ambitious to expect that.

High Distinction: 8-12 wins

Pass: 6-7 wins

Fail: <6 wins

Adelaide: WIn

Carlton: Win

Collingwood: Win

Essendon: Win/Win

Geelong: Win

Richmond: Win/Win

St Kilda: Win/Win

West Coast: Win

Bulldogs; Win

Might be being a little too optimistic.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
