BREAKING: Hawthorn has secured Jono O'Rourke + pick 43 from the Giants in exchange for picks 19 + 40

How good are the GWS recruiters?

Pick 2 to 19 in the space of 2 years, almost makes our recruiting look good.

Fat Phil Scully is definitely earning his money.

I say trade pick 2 and 23, try to get Dangerfield, if it doesn't happen, trade pick 2 for a great midfielder and maybe another pick depending on which player.

Keep pick 3 draft Brayshaw

The Romsey connection is problematic given the reputation some of its fine citizens have achieved here on Demonland

With a bit of luck Lever comes from the other side of town.

Nothing wrong with Romsey.......

Mate not even Joe Hockey in his speedos eating a box of krispy kremes while getting his back waxed makes our trading look good.

Jake Lever is coming up on trade radio soon if anyone wanted to listen

Was he on radio yesterday morning? If so he sounds interesting. After the knee he helped out coaching the midfield group because he sees himself potentially playing there as that is the way game is going. He also said the only coach he was intimidated by during his meetings with clubs was Roos. ..

That last part is fascinating. Petracca also said we asked the hardest questions and it took him a few minutes to answer something we asked.

Roos comes across as such a personable and approachable type. Obviously likes to see how draftees cope under pressure. He must be quite different behind closed doors.

Or who knows, maybe he's just incredibly revered by draftees and that boils the nerves.

Does anyone else feel like Melbourne & Josh Mahoney has been eerily quiet in a media sense during this trade period?

Just makes all the time I waste reading Demonland that much worse.

I think I've had about 4 productive hours at work all week.

*shakes fist* damn you trade week, damn you to hell!

We have never seen anything like this since the draft.

AFL announce immediate drug testing for Ryan Griffen.

Well, that'll make the Bulldogs even less likely to trade one of their young gun mids.

More tears from their six fans.

I would feel sorry for them... But I really don't.

Yep but that doesn't phase us. We hold the Cards and will choose from Petracca, Brayshaw, McCartin or Lever.

Life is good!

Doesn't that mean St Kilda wont be able to entertain a trade with GWS to see them trading pick 1 for their pick 4 and 7? Meaning this might force them to take Mcartin at 1?

Who knows, especially now since Ryan Griffen has quit the dogs

I doubt the GWS is not done yet, they will have quite a few picks in the draft but will probably only use a couple as they will not be getting rid of too many from their list, so they will be keen on swapping some of their mid picks for early picks so that they can continue to bank the best young talent.

No I have heard him on SEN, twice I think. Very open about who we were looking at early doors.

Doesn't that mean Doggies should land pick 4 which will then draft Peter Wright?

here it comes, all the bottom teams fighting for quality young talent to build on, whilst losing they're top payers whilst either rebuilding, or via free agency. then down the track those young talents go F/A.

the divide is happening, & the cannibals are getting hungrier.

the Pandora's box is wide "Open for Business"...
