We are screaming out for aggression and a small forward with lightning pace.

I hope Roos looks very closely at them. Rhys Shaw and Barry Hall had issues too.

For the right price it could be a great way to get 2 starting 18 players into the club.

I am sick of these nice, sociable footballers we have. Robinson, Hogan, Viney and Kent wouldn't be there to make friends and that's what I want.

Nutjob Robinson belted Rohan Bail off the ball several years ago! and copped weeks for it! On that basis there might well be the "Flow on effect" and I believe some angst MIGHT remain!

NUP NOT WORTH THE RISK!

You mean like the time that Plugger decked a Swans player? Had a real flow on effect there didn't it.

We interviewed Robinson last year. I wonder what roosy really thinks him. I like his aggression but I have heaps of first hand knowledge of him. He really is not very smart, and I'm being kind in saying that. We really need more aggression. I really liked the way hawthorn turned it around years ago with just aggression. They had guys rubbed out a bit but so what.

.... agreed 'Demanding Success', but we need smart aggro. not the bluntest tool going around.

no no & know.

I would consider LHenderson, JWaite, or yarran for some sorta deal.

I think Robinson would be in our best 22 pretty easily, if he wasn't a dick head i'd take him in a heartbeat

His reddit Q&A suggests there's a bit more to Robbo than the d-head tag he seems to have picked up.

http://www.reddit.com/r/AFL/comments/1keqff/i_am_mitch_robinson_from_the_carlton_football

What is he actually guilty of in the end to warrant all the hatred in this thread?

Calling us bruise free? He was right, we were.

Getting into a dust up at the Big Day Out? Someone took a swing and he had the audacity of defending himself.

Looking like a d-head in photos? Okay, he's guilty of that.

The latest incident with Garlett is a poor one in terms of him not telling the club straight away, granted. He's no angel, granted. But I do think the reports on his behaviour get overblown, and in terms of ability, he'd be in our best 22. His kamikaze attack on the ball is exactly what our mob needs, among a list of other things.

I'm not strongly in favour, but I'm also not totally closed off to the idea

This thread reminds me of the Dustin Martin thread last year. Robinson is a loose cannon but would be in our best 22 easily.

And Dusty has gone on to have a very, very good season. Doesn't mean Robinson does the same but we can't just ignore him if he is available!

It's not that he is a loose cannon, he's just not a good footballer and no he wouldn't easily be in our best 22.

We've got rid of 2 of the most brainless players in the last few years, why do we want to add more?

Robinson would have ranked top 5 at MFC for average possessions and tackles and 7th for average SuperCoach points this year. I am not strongly pushing the case, but he would definitely be in our 22. He is a 'good ordinary player'. The question is whether he is worth the trouble, not if he can play.

With Robinson, I would expect him to go through the Roos doodlehead screening program and if he passed he would be a decent pick up.

The contract could have a couple of of doodlehead clauses. Have it set out up by a lawyer with doodlehead expertise.

Would be happy to have Robinson in the midfield provided roosy can help him sort out his off field problems! The guy has a real hard edge that would help us in the aggression department!!

Taking on a discarded Mitch Robinson would be more humiliating than getting just 4 wins in Roos' first season. How much do we have to take?

Jeff Garlett kicked 48 goials in 2011, and 43 last year

Hes only just turned 25

Laughable to suggest Roos and co would not be looking at him hard

I hope we get him

What people dont know is Roos went hard for the likes of Carey Fevola and Akermarnis.

Roos will go for anyone he thinks will make the side better.

Yes Roos had a No [censored] policy but that because he backed his leaders to sort em out.

I mean he was interested in Dustin Martin laet year.

Have we got the leaders, at the moment, to sort them out though? I wouldn't have thought so.

Do you have inside sources??

I know some people at dees, blues, dogs and bombers. I sometimes hear some things but I try not to post some things on here. Not because I don't want to tell you all but it's not fair on my friends or the clubs. My wife gets to hear me ramble about it though even when she's not interested.

Martin is streets ahead of Robinson in terms of talent and ability. This year has proved that.

Not sure Roos was all that interested in Martin last year. I thought we ruled ourselves out pretty early when he shopped himself around. Happy to be proven wrong, as I cbf searching.

Which DH's are these?

Off the top of my head

Aker

Martin Pike

Josh Carr

Heath Shaw

Alan Didak

Dane Swan

Campbell Brown

Stevie J

All have played in premiership teams. You could probably throw in Ben Cousins and a few others too if you want to.

I cant think of any in the Swans line up(s)

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
