Young Demon Toumpas struck down with appendicitis

"MELBOURNE youngster Jimmy Toumpas has been diagnosed with acute appendicitis and will miss the next four to six weeks"

Hope you recover quickly Lad

best of luck

That stupid appendix is what has been holding him back.

Good riddance stupid appendix.

Toumpas, Evans out for four to six weeks

Disappointing for Toump. I was hoping he'd have a strong second half of the year. Best wishes to him for a speedy recovery and hopefully he's fit and firing for the first day of pre season. The same can be said for Evans who may also miss the rest of the year due to injury. Also, Hoges is now listed as 3-4 weeks away ...

was that pun intended od?

Now dc is the moment of truth!

Lie or tell the truth

Unfortunately a complete accident.

Don't be ridiculous he used a rusty razor blade.

Cue in the rack time.

Guess who we are playing on Saturday?

187?

Don't be ridiculous he used a rusty razor blade.

he's a country boy isn't he? probably just used his teeth after demasculating a few hundred sheep likewise

Some guys just can't take a trick!!

Bloody recruiters should have checked though - incompetence.

A side issue - surely this must be the end for Evans. No more chances to show his worth. "Time, gentlemen."

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
