I like this. (Shame there is no button to express this anymore).

Simple. No snarling demons, no monograms. Just the obvious reversing the colors. Go for it.

its not too bad a look really ... If its ok for the filth to swap their black and white around, why not us :)

Someone is bound to ask

the Normal and reversed jumpers. I quickly deepened the yoke of the reverse to closer match.. its a bit rough, apologies

maybe the last one..lol

Over time much has been made of the clash we have with Carlton. This in reality is about as close to a real argument as you get imho.

I rather like elements of our jumper. I like the yoke. I like the colours..I detest white as for me it has no place there. Its a compromise that in reality neednt occur.

What if you simply changed out one panel of our jumper.. the rear navy...for red. its still very Melbourne..99% of all supposed clashes disappear again..imho.

Please apply for a job at the MFC for guernsey design BB, thanks.

Unless he also applies for the one at AFL house that determines what constitutes a clash, I'm afraid he'd be sh*t out of luck.

This is what I don't understand about the AFL, why can't we have the Soccer style 3 strips. One Home (Normal), One Away (Reversed or close), and One White Alternate for when either of the first two don't work.

Let the clubs have a preferred alternate they can go to first and if it doesn't work then move onto the white one.

given this is the AFL's idea of fixing a clash ( which wasnt there in the first place ) then Id never get past the interview !! lol

Looking at that photo of our clash jumper with St Kilda, maybe St Kilda should be made to wear a clash jumper as it clashes with our clash jumper!

probably too sensible

but the thing is wearing our normal jumper I just dont see how you cant differentiate !! maybe its just me

acwv.jpg

theres no need to go to a clash jumper with Adelaide

I think it's actually about the back of the jumpers.

From behind, the players can look very similar, in a split-second glance.

Surely it's not that hard to understand?

Especially when you have teammates tackling each other on the odd occasion...

and the problem is ?

Like.

But the reason we can't is overly protective supporters who are resistant to change, and who would like to see a god-awful jumper as long as the exact colour composition is retained, like some sort of territorial pissing.

but if you must....then the "redback" jumper solves this

and before anyone asks

" yeah....but what about the front of Adelaide and the back of the redback Demon ? "

bub, are suggesting the redback as the clash strip or to have it for the home strip

clash strip

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
