Just a word of warning to any joint Demonland and Demonology members, particularly if you share the same username and password, please change your password on this site. You can do that by going into your profile. PM me if you need assistance.

Your passwords on Demonology might not be encrypted. All passwords on Demonland are encrypted. It would be prudent to change them here to avoid your account being hijacked.

This is just a precaution and not based on anything else.

Well i can't log on to ology, my password is now invalid.

Interesting.

Is there a way of logging on to create a new password?

My suggestion is to change your password on Demonland.

I just had a telephone call with Tim.

Tim is certainly dealing with some long term health issues but there is light at the end of the tunnel with what he hopes is now a proper diagnosis.

In terms of Demonology, George on the outer, introduced Gareth [censored], who has registered the DNS. They offered Tim money to take over the site, to which Tim declined, he has however handed the site over to Gareth in an effort to see it continue. Tim says he is happy with his decision to hand it over but not so with the consternation that has taken place, he intends to speak with the new owners in an effort to calm things down but is adamant it is the decision chose and continues to support.

He is unhappy with the fact Gsmith has been ostracized and will be looking into the matter.

I fear we have no other option.

Did Tim know Gareth was Dr Who's brother?

After 8 years, and 10,000 posts, I won't go on the site again whilst these blokes have the keys.

quickest way to kill them off is to ignore them. Its a travesty that so many great threads and data will be lost, but so be it.

I rarely post there any more, but what a chitty end to what was once an excellent footy forum.

What a couple of geeky losers.

I'm Dnic both here and there. I've posted more often there, as it was the first MFC fan forum I found.

I've just logged in and changed my password details, the site seem to be running fine.

Whilst the vast majority of my contributions are the drivel from a [censored], I enjoyed (the old) "ology forum at least giving supporters an outlet to for an independent voice and critique on the club.

"Taking over" the site under the guise of being an arm of the club is underhanded and unwelcome.

Nobody over the age 8 just wants an 24/7 "go dees 4 eva' hit parade. Might as well put "Whiteboard Wednesdays" on high rotation.

I think you will find out that the takeover is money orientated.

Every time you click on Ology they make a cent or two.

IMO the takeover is illegal without the membership being involved.

A funny thing has happened; ever since the takeover I now have google pop ups appearing every time I do a search.

I believe they are spamming my computer and using other members info for their own purposes.

I will wait a bit to see what happens and then lodge a complaint with the club and the privacy commissioner.

I just wish to find out the motives of those who have taken over ology?

What do they wish to actually do?

If it is to destabalize the club the site should be boycotted by all and shut down.

We are all MFC Supporters

The Finale of Breaking Bad is far more exciting.

And so do I.

It seems to me that the new ownership believe that their site should exist to support the club and, in order to so, there should be no negative content.

If that's the case, its a misguided view which will ultimately become self-defeating. It's a forum and its users go to express their views there on a regular basis - it's part of their lives and shouldn't be taken away from them.

There are moves afoot to restore Demonology to what it was before yesterday. As a Demonology member, I support them.

In addition to changing your password on this site, I think it is prudent to also change your active email address on Demonology (I just used a bogus one) to prevent any unwanted contact from those grubs.

I spoke with him about Dr Who being involved, he doesn't know the handle as he hasn't been onto Demonology. He did say Gareth was the person that he handed the site over to.

And I can no longer log in.

Cowards.

Judee is involved and lectures all on manners, while in bed with Dr Who, the worst behaved poster ever. These people have no shame

Are you suggesting Judee is involved in the takeover as well? So that makes, George On the Outer, Judee, Nineteen and the [censored]'s?

Posted

Well it will be an exciting place if no members can log on.

What is the point??

If these scammers are making money each time there is a hit on the site does it not make sense to GROW YOUR NUMBERS....

Posted

looking at recent posts there, I would say judee definatley on the "dark side"

Just had my first post removed on demonology, which had nothing offensive in it...

will keep my email the same on ology atm, i want to see what crap i get from them, adds to the arsenal of information for the counterattack to free ology up again...

Don't think that will help if you are a MFC member. They are part of the membership telemarketing group, so I assume they have access to all members details.

So what you're saying is if they have beef with a certain poster then they could cross reference a posters email address from the Demonology database and the MFC Membership database and potentially get access to all your private details such as name and address, credit card info etc? This is very worrying.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
