Sorry posted this by mistake.

Lots of talk on radio this morning that Heath Shaw should be put up for trade.

Would we be interested in getting him.

Some scribes think that he would be a good fit for the Dees.

Roos maybe able to curtail his wayward nature a bit.

Any thoughts?

This in my view is in the same category as Didak. Shaw is a senior member of the Woods rat pack We would be buying trouble, totally against the "no [censored]" philosophy. I can tell you, Roos wouldn't wear it in a fit.

Apparently Roos turned Rhys Shaw around and made a very accountable player.

has been a consistent DH

involved in the drink driving, lies, threatening taxi drivers

on field ,blow ups abuse.racial abuse,

reckon I could upset him with some well timed baits

this man is not likely to help OUR club

yep lets get him

ooops forgot,we now have a sensible person in charge

If anyone can extract the best out of Heath it is PR...if there is anything to extract.

I am 50/50 on players like this...i will let PR sought it out

Membership is paid Roosy...you choose the side.

I wold take him for the right trade in a heartbeat.

We have one running half back who uses the ball well and makes smart decisions and that's a first year player in Terlich.

Shaw would be great as another. I would swap him with someone like Dunn in an instant.

Of course we need to address the midfield first and foremost but it's also about adding talent to our entire list and Shaw plays his position very well indeed.

and Rhys Shaw was like 22 when that happened

Heath would be pushing 30

I don't give a [censored] about his history. Roos would sort that out no problem and his past doesn't affect his onfield performance does it?

It's a non-argument. He may have troubles at Collingwood which is clearly why he's being talked up as someone to move on. That doesn't mean he'll carry those problems to the next club.

Fevola is the only one who I can think of who couldn't change his destructive behaviour out of how many? And now we are blessed to have a coach who is famous for his player development skills. Give me a [censored] break people.

I'd be more than happy to go after him.

If he has enough troubles that his current club wants to get rid of him, why would those troubles not bother us?

It IS an argument.

Depends on the price (contract and trade), but at his age and likely value we are probably better off going for some younger midfielders or players in their 30s who we can acquire for nothing.

Not quite.

He is pushing 28 which gives him 2 years worth of currency with a bit of mongrel that our side needs.

It's a non-argument. I've just listed one player who carried his behaviour on to another club in Brendon Fevola.

I've asked you to list others. You can't. So it's a non-argument.

can see this panning out ala T.Gillies, player too big for his boots from successful to lowly club, don't even think Roos could save him, which is unfortuanate and not worth the gamble.

Nick Davis, despite his finals heroics, returned to the outer under Roos.

So you think the club with the weakest culture in the AFL should bring in a disruptive divisive player who has been rejected by his long time club due to his behaviour?

Other players aren't the point.

Again, why is it being discussed if it's a "non-argument" as you say?

I agree FT I would be concerned on his price we need to ensure we are not paying a lot of money for players of his age. Another person for mick at Carlton you would think.

He kicked 4 goals in the last quarter of a final against Geelong to get them into a prelim or grandfinal I believe.

It's gone down as one of the most incredible individual efforts in a quarter of football. And it was a final.

Are you having a laugh mate?

He was really devastating to the that clubs culture wasn't he....

Jesus Christ.

Sooooooo they're thinking of trading him why again?

They're looking to trade him because of his bad influence on the clubs culture.

I just can't fathom why people are then trying to argue he's not bad for club culture.

Amazing.

HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
