Victim of his own height was a fair bump but hit him in head with shoulder so bye bye

Nah.......too important to the AFL - look forward to some weasel words..... "minimal impact"....."negligent not reckless or deliberate"...."opponent came back on".......etc...etc

Yep, spot on monoccular. AFL spin will prevail most likely.

Face book AFL trades reports that John Ralph said that we (as in MFC) will snare buddy! WTF! Craziest rumour thus far.

I just read that too. Nearly fell off my chair. Apparently $2 million a year. Has to be rubbish.

On the topic of Hawks vs Sydney (I know - super tenuous link to the topic) - Matt Spangher is doing his best Jesus impersonation these days. The man has grown some serious hair and beard since last time I saw him play.

The MRP will tie itself in knots to get Buddy off or give him a week.

Yes it is finals time suddenly the formula will change. I say maybe a week at most

Hawks have proved on many occasions that no Frankiln means SFA to their ability to win.

Did the Sydney play get up and play on? If so it should not constitute the force required to report. It was a touch late and accidentally high. He did everything right, tick the elbow keep feet on the ground etc. It was an attempt at a fair bump that accidentally got him high. Free kick is all it should be, maybe one week for the late bump. But given the afl he will get 3.

Malceski got up and played on. No obvious injury..... Until he was subbed off! Whether it was bump related we don't know

And I agree with you in a lot of ways but the rules have been set for the better part pf at least 2 years now. Bump to the head is a report and if not suspension at least reprimand

You can't say it was an attempt at a fair bump. It has to be a fair bump and it wasn't.

As for why the AFL has done this - the NFL today agreed to a settlement of over 700million dollars for ex players re concussion. The AFL couldn't afford a similar sum

I know players need to be judged the same. I just like seeing champs on the field. And he is a champion.

How does that song go?

I don't care.

Only interested in 2014 now.

He'd have a poor record and carry over points too I'd say.

surprisingly no poor record.

How about a rule that says if you get the week off it counts as a week of suspension. 1 week sure but I'd hate to see Buddy miss a qualifying and prelim final due to this. That's a huge penalty

Doesnt play for melbourne. Who cares

In unrelated matters, i no longer watch games that do not involve the dees. I hate the way they have [censored] the afl. Bring back the rules from 2000

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc.
