I was convinced it was a 3pm start. Still in sleep mode atm. Not long to go. Hopefully it'll be an entertaining match.

a real test of how much craig has improved us today

I'm not at all advocating we will win, however Sydney have played their past 2 games in very heavy conditions against port and essendon. I understand they have had an 8 day break, however in an age of rotations and higher intensity running, I just wonder if Sydney will be a little heavy in the legs.

Sydney have always been a team who contol the contests and force you to kick to contests. If we can get a good start, pressure them from the first bounce and get the footy in space, we could be in this game long enough to make Neil cordy retire from writing any article ever again. Hopefully :)

I think we'll get smashed.

Yet for the first time in a long time I'm on my way to the G with a bounce in my step.

I just want to see a continuation of the effort put in last week.

I want to see if Watts can do it 4 weeks in a row. I want to see how Jones against the side that I think has the best collective midfield group in the comp. I want to see Chip take on Tippett and the Swans' array of tall forwards and resting rucks. I want see how Gawn goes against a powerhouse ruck unit.

I'm genuinely excited. Go Dees!

Going to a 50th at Crown today so cannot make it.

Please keep the updates flowing demons :)

Beautiful day for it! Breakfast in Richmond followed by a few largers then wonder across to the home of footy. What more could you ask for?

Carn the demons!!!

Let's rip em apart!!!!!!!!!

Neil Craig should just show them a highlights reel of the thumping we gave them in 2010 and tell them to get out there and do it again!!!

Go Dees!!!

At least we'll see some great footy today, it probably ain't going to be from our end though.

That's a bit unfair - those Oz Kick kids put alot of effort into their games.

Teams as selected Byrnes our sub,

Going to be outnumbered here by swans supporters.

nah swans don't normally play here so their fans just turn up early to make sure they get a seat ;)

A win?

A club that has done so much right against one that has done so much wrong. Perhaps we could learn something.

Triple m basically saying Melbourne are ahead of Western Bulldogs with the Duck saying we have a decent Forward line and backline but just missing a few holes in the midfield. Bulldogs are building a midfield but forward line and backline are major issues.

Griffin in our midfield would be nice!

Anyone PM me a live stream?

Thx

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

It seems like only yesterday that these two sides faced off against each other in the centre of the continent. It was when Melbourne was experiencing a rare period of success with five wins from its previous six matches including victories over both of last year’s grand finalists.  Well, it wasn’t yesterday but it was early last month and it remains etched clearly in the memory. The Saints were going through a slump and the predicted outcome of their encounter at TIO Traeger Park was a virtual no-brainer. A Melbourne victory and another step closer to a possible rise into finals contention. Something that was unthinkable after opening the season with five straight defeats.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.
