Peter Jackson on ABC right now

Recommended Posts

Haha! Yes i am embarrassing myself Stuie.

How much of your hard earned did you tip in since 2008 whilst also paying off a housing loan??

Don't see what how much we each gave has to do with your slanderous and outrageous comments.

I agree. But to be told to "grow up" when our last CEO effectively killed our club is actually quite humorous.

You do need to grow up.

He was no good at his job, but he wasn't this mythical evil beast out to destroy the MFC.

You can call it what you like.

The way people carry on around here you'd think Peter Jackson is Warren Buffet's smarter brother. There are no messiahs or white knights that will single handedly pull us out of the crapper. Haven't we learned that there are no quick fixes. This desperate mentality for a saviour is what got us into this position in the first place. Jackson is one piece in a complex jigsaw.

Personally I believe that Jackson may prove to be a good CEO, even an outstanding one, but then again I have also foolishly placed my faith in the likes of Neeld and Schwab. Not to mention Bailey, McLardy, Gutnick, Peter Moore, Kelvin Templeton, Big Carl, Graham Molloy and of course Diamond Jim Tilbrook. I have seen far to many saviours come and go to get carried away by the arrival of another. This time I will hold my judgement until his actions become aparent rather than be seduced by words. I wish him well but a word of warning to all those on this forum who already worship him. He is human. It is entirely feasible that he just might not live up to your very high expectations.

Too true and Neeld said similar things but at least a true clean slate is being given to whomever steps into the breech next as coach. This is possibly our last chance and it all needs to work in each area of the FOoty Dept most importantly. He is getting that set up and I think dispelling a few myths.

Good luck to all who step to the line.

How about you get the facts right, the club is asset rich but money tight so they are not in liquidation so lets get that right. yes mistakes were made but for gods sake get over it, PJ has made the right noises so lets move on, in the end you don't live in the past but remember it.

pretty incredible.

to sum it up:

- the club has been all-spin, no action for too long

- this rebuild is genuine not spin

- we have been a drag on the competition for a long time

- we have no leaders in our club

- players have a belief that they are 'wasting their careers' at the dees

- our players need to understand that pj is pushing to undergo massive change and they need to be part of that

- our staff are young and inexperienced (football, admin, both? it wasn't made clear)

- if we are unable to interview prospective coaches due to their current engagement at their own clubs, so be it - it doesn't change the basic planning that needs to take place

- pj is in regular contact with the afl but they are NOT 'driving the car'

- the afl is now the major financier of the club

- they will have a say on the board

- they are backing pj's plan for the dees

pretty full on, i've gotta say.

everyone on the aunty panel basically says the dees are in good hands.

neeld has already had approaches for 2014 according to parko.

parko is still a season ticket holder for the dees, and says neil craig has a clear vision for the remainder of the season.

Wish you had understood what PJ total misunderstanding what he said.

Give me a break.

$5 mill GONE ok

Fact. The AFL have taken over.

Schwab walks away with a huge payout, after HE did the same for Conolly.

We are left holding the f$&$ing baby as they say...

i don't need to discuss it with you.

It was you who had no understanding of the Broadcast deal.

We have become a blight on the comp.

and please. The club is broke, without AFL serious assistance the club was done.

Drama Queen no. Reality sunshine.

Nobody said he was out to destroy the MFC.

But he did destroy it thanks to his unbelievable incompetence and lack of professionalism.

I know it's your opinion, but don't you get tired of saying the same thing over and over? any regular on this sight knows exactly how you feel about things, more noise is just more noise

So everything is ok is it?

I am suprised i have to say it at all. But some people still believe the club is just fine.

The ABC interview was even more expansive than the one on MMM.

GAMEDAY: Rd 11 vs St. Kilda

It's Game Day and after 2 losses on the trot the Dees must win against the Saints today at the MCG to keep in touch with the Top 4. A loss today will see them drop out of the Top 8 for the first time since 2020.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.
