WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - PAUL ROOS

Either I wrote my comment poorly or you are misinterpreting it.

Either way I have no idea who you want as the new coach.

I hope you are not saying you want another unknown who comes with zero credibility.

IF,,, we can't make big improvements in the Coach we get, eg Roos, Matthews, then we already have one from the next best level, of the tried & true availables.

look at the clubs, old Sydney, Footscray, old Port. which had the better Culture after these coaches left they're old buildings?

I reckon when Eade left the Swans, the culture was good ordinary.... the Bullies when he left, was good ordinary & still are, but the new coach is working on this now... searching for they're old bulldog tenacity that went missing.

I think whilst Williams had success at Port with a flag, they soon dropped right Off, & the bottom fell out of their pants. culture was really ordinary until some players last year decided to fully commit, or the club would have imploded.

... when Craig left the Crows, he left a disciplined club with a strong work ethic, & very good list in very good physical & fit shape. just waiting for some ignition.

so, of these 3, for our current position to restructure & transform the list into a competative unit, then we should stay with Neil Craig, over the other 2.

... its not worth the further disruption for a differing shade of the same.

I just want the best candidate, if that is Simpson, Tudor, Eade, Williams, Richardson or Roos I don't care. I actually have faith in Parkin being able to pick the best candidate through the process.

Dont renew, every time something mightn't go your way you threaten the club with not paying membership, your a clown go and follow another club.

All of us are on the edge - clearly dee-luded is a devoted demon.

If you want to find your 'sunny-day demon supporters' you won't find any here.

I heard today that Craig will get the job. Good as done.

If this is fact, we would have to assume that the Club is 110% certain that Craig is totally clear of any potential implications in relation the drugs scandal which is still under investigation.

Well, at least I now have confirmation that your opinion is worthless. That's a real time saver.

I don't have time with posts like this, but I'll highlight why I made the comment;

You believe we sell papers.

I don't think I need any more proof to support my delusional comment.

And yet you keep coming back...

Everyone here is speculating, but you think you're in a position to call people delusional?

We get a mention in the paper regularly even if its not directly our controversy or story.

If I'm delusional then you're just plain ignorant.

Not a bad argument 'dee-luded'. Don't know that you've sold me yet but...

I just want the best candidate, if that is Simpson, Tudor, Eade, Williams, Richardson or Roos I don't care. I actually have faith in Parkin being able to pick the best candidate through the process.

Yep, Parko is certainly more qualified than the last group combined to select the right coach.

I am so lost

Has Roos categorically said no to us yet? I thought I saw an article a few weeks ago where he flat out said he wont be coaching anywhere next year

We know he said no to Brisbane, which is understandable because who would wanna live there.

but what about us?

Sorry mate. Billy2803 has kindly informed us that no one cares, not even the media. So we'll probably never know what happens. You're probably just delusional.

It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Paul Roos made a couple of interesting comments OTC Monday night regarding 'a significant shift in his thinking' and of his passion for coaching.

Seems as if it's as good-a-time as any if he's interested.

Jay Clark has just Tweeted that Rodney Eade is about to announce a contract extension with the pies..

Hopefully this is a good sign that we have someone in place.. if not... bad signs that not even rocket wants to coach us!

Agree! Hopefully means we have made a decision and are just waiting until after the Grand Final to announce it.

We wouldn't have to wait until the GF.

Just until Richmond bow out... Craig/Roos could be announced now, and choco can be announced after they lose first week

Josh Mahoney said at a function that under the new rules they are not allowed to announce a new coach until the day after the grand final if that person is currently employed at another club.

so craig could be announced now.. however Roos and Choco we would have to wait.

He also said that it would could expect an announcement on that day.. gives a strong hint that its not craig

FYI this was when he talked at a function before the Adelaide game

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
