Adrian Anderson on 3AW who knows what the "formula" is says it's unlikely we'll get a PP.

Request for pick a bit Cheeky- Andersen

You know I reckon I could be forgiven for thinking lil ol Adrian is still smarting from his FAILED attempt at a witch hunt.

He certainly has no kindness for us, and Adrian, the love is returned 10 fold.

Umm Adrian,,,,you dont run things.......remember ??? :rolleyes::)

Well it did cost him his job.

His argument is based on the fact we were investigated for tanking not based on the formula which would surely see us given at the very least an after first round PP.

Yep cost him his job and he'll take pot shots whenever able I feel. He brought ti upon himself. He failed to take heed of his Imperial leader....his bad !! lol

He keeps dropping articles about this and that. Must feel emasculated and a need to feel relevant to the game..

Hes become a footy media type stalker.

How can we be punished over the tanking when:

A- we were found not guilty

B - the administration involved during this period of time is gone

Only our results should be taken into account, and our results are deplorable.

And why weren't Carlton and others investigated for tanking?

Hutchy last night on Classified suggested Melbourne would not be getting a priority pick. "Won't happen, don't worry about it. No chance." Demetriou gave nothing away on Talking Footy.

Ross Campbell (aka Stevenson) on this morning's 3AW 'Rumour File' said quite emphatically that Melbourne would not be receiving a priority pick!

Since the invention of the priority pick, there has NEVER (by a couple of light years) been a poorer sustained on-field performance than which the MFC has dished up over the past 7 years, and worsening over the last 3!

Based on this, there has NEVER been a clearer, more logical reason to award a PP than to the MFC this draft period.

But it won't happen..........why?

Because the AFL is as much directed in it's decision making by emotion, driven of course by the media, than anything else. The current administration tries to negotiate a passage between objective reasoning, and populist reaction, which takes little account of reason. Sometimes successfully (Bombers?), sometimes not (MFC non-tanking).

They want to please as many of the people as much of the time as they can, whilst making as much money as possible. Not a bad goal I guess, but fairness will often be the victim.

Assuming we gain a priority pick and we have picks 2 and 3 do we put 1 pick on the table for a gun afl midfielder like Dale Thomas or do we put both pcks on the table since we are in desperate need of 2 gun AFL mids???

Not dale thomas !!!

If we get a PP,,, P1, or P3, I'd like to see us On-trade hypothetical Priority Pick for a mature topshelf Mid.... But use Our 1st National Draft pick on a kid for our future top end talent.

& take 2 mature mids from free agency.

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the
