Want to throw this out there now for you Demonlanders - we all know Neelds papers are stamped

When the board fire Neeld they should also step down. It was their decision to hire Neeld and implement the direction of the club, they put us in this position we are in now.

They've given Neeld 18 months to instal a plan they approved and have folded to pressure - failure on multiple levels to support the club publicly and in times of need and have mismanaged every even that has happened a this club in their tenure.

This is the final straw for me - They will make this club suffer financially further with their mismanagement and paying out Neeld, if this club ever wants to be successful the first step is not sacking the coach - the first step is installing competent management

This club is a joke and wreaks of softness

Where have they been in all this - either support the coach or give us a direction in our time of need

We get nothing - zip - nada from our leaders

Board meeting next monday. Neeld set to be given the flick, trying to work out financial payouts in regards to neeldy. Watch this space..

I'm dissapointed with the present board as well but if there's going to be a change at the top we need a stronger/viable replacement ticket led by a football savvy president to challenge UH. Have you heard of anyone out there challenging/offering to put their hand up? Not an easy ask or task to take this sinking ship over and turn it around.

Nah doesn't sit well with me RN

Why is it ok to sack the coach for poor performance with no real direction but not the board who made all the decisions.

Plus the reality is they are the ones putting us in to a deeper hole - payouts and new contracts

It is whispered we could lose up to 3 mil in turnover this year - how irresponsible is this board - They're the ones who need to go IMO

How are we going to pay for a coach?? Answer that - we all know the coaches we need will cost a mil each per year - What a joke this club is

Give it another 7 days.

Getting on the front foot wyl :)

Someone needs to be held responsible - It wasn't all C Schwabs doing, Neeld can't be the only man

Rome wasn't built in a day - but we can burn the f@$!er down in 1

So Unleash, Neeld goes, the Board goes and we become a rudderless ship. You may think that we are that now but we are far from it. How does the Club function without a Board. Unless a group of people put their hands up now to takeover from the current Board it is not going to happen. It shouldn't happen and the AFL certainly would not let it happen. We are all frustrated and disappointed and whatever other emotion you can think of but to have Neeld go, a stand in coach come in, a new CEO and no Board - give me a break. This is a multi million dollar business and you may not like the current Board but they are the best we have at the moment. Change needs to be a considered process and not one directed and commandeered by a rabid media and some Club supporters.

There must be a new Board. It's got to happen. Not tomorrow, but we have to move away from this dark tanking phase completely.

Should have happened in 2011.

Yes i know its hindsight. But it should have.

It hasn't been a club since that day.

There were a number of posters that wanted the Board accountable at that time. And it's was idiots like you that said that those posters that did not support McLardy and co could go and get f%ed.

Now how stupid do you look now? It's no wonder no one can take any comments of yours with any seriousness.

As the melodramatic high priest of hindsight you still show no savvy awareness of matters.

And for someone who wants to call the AFL in its amazing ( well it isn't with you) that you wanted to run the AFL through the Courts on the tanking. But you won't have even the basic nous to see the ridiculousness of it.

The board is less relevant now with Peter J running the place.

McLardy set to go end of the year anyway. To turn the lot out at once is overkill.

Change has to be managed and I refer back to point one.

Most of the board an co. will go. This has very possibly been the worst managed club in the history of the AFL/VFL. Now Fitzroy did go under but they just couldn't continue with their supporter base and debts. We finally got our club out of the s*it and somehow our Administration team pulls us right back down. I want to see a board and administration who aren't just focused on their own personal gains and rather that care about the football club. For too long we've had segmented leadership and backstabbing all for what? These peoples egos have brought this club to its knees and its absolute crap. If I had the experience and know how I would go for it but really I wouldn't know what it takes but surely there are people out their that will know how to properly run a business/football club.

In my opinion, Neeld must go.

But without a change in the decision makers at MFC ie President, Board and others all that will happen is another inexperienced poor performing coach will recruited in his place (another Bailey to Neeld repeat again and again).

It appears to me the MFC is full of people full of good intentions who lack experience and a understanding of their roles and responsibilities.

Not sure the AFL taking over the running of the MFC is a good idea as all those guys are concerned about is making money and will not make decision that maybe in the best interest of the MFC.

Has anyone else notice how quiet the President has been lately? I remeber him saying after the 148 point loss to Essandon that the Club would not be making changes and the next day asked for the CEO's resignation and then nothing else.

i was amazed Schwab didn't go after 186 Rhino, but no i didn't want to kick Jimma as he was dying if that's what you are referring to.

The club should have stood up in court last Christmas yes. May have put some faith in the playing list to fight. As it is they don't care.

But keep punching. It's what you do.

Would it be legally possible to sack Neeld with little to no pay-out?

I doubt the senior coach has reached many if any KPI'S since he commenced his role.

God I do hope so!

It was so disappointing to me that the MFC President just rolled over and accepted everything the AFL did.

I want him to show the fighting spirit as I expected from the players!

Wait he did show the same spirit as the players! Weak, gives up easily, accepts failure etc.

Can we recruit the President as a player well as as he got the right stuff that the MFC looks for in any recruit, inexperience, lack of passion, no accountability and the ability to produce massive losses. He clearly would have the right stuff for us!

Only for breach of contract.

And no don't go there because it would be an expensive PR and legal nightmare.

That's your typical revisionist crap.

During 186, you tried to be the tuff hardass backing Stynes and Schwab to the hilt while just bring the perennial dumbass in the process.

I would say we are effectively under AFL administration now anyway and it's for the best as it's also for the best that Don says nothing and bow out as soon as is reasonable.

I spoke with Don at the Richmond game during a quiet time

He was very communicative he understands exactly where the club is at and does understand supporters emotions

He like many doesn't seem to know what to do to fix it but he believes sacking people Carte blanch will achieve nothing

Any way it made me undersatnd how difficult it must be for the executive for whats its worth
