I'll break my self imposed embargo

This is just utter crup; !!! these are the words and outlook of someone out of his depth. With the right personnel both playing and support you can become competitive in 18 months to 2 years. It does however mean yo dont come out waving the white f'n flag every bloody week, befor ethe game's even played...ffs !!. It does mean you rely less on these bogus excuses of ...oh weve less games than the others..

This guy now reminds me of a bloody accountant. The ones that have no vision and cant advise you what to do , or if they do they dont do it themselves. This bloke is a weaselly numbers protaganist and hes ignoring the other elements of decision re football.

its not about games Neeld, its about effort and skills and mindsets. You are teaching our lads they will lose form the get go because of any number of reason. Tell them they will most likley lose....and guess what ...they bloody will. This guy plans to lose and expects to lose. Do this and you do just that. others however take the outlook of plannng and playing to win.

get rid of this bloke now

I swear to god, every single interview he claims that we have such and such players under 50 games experience... THAT DOES NOT GIVE THEM AN EXCUSE NOT TO TRY!

Do yourself a favour and don't read this. It's sickening. Hopefully the players have some belief, or it's going to be another sad day at the 'G. Off I go to find out

It would be better for any Melbourne FC supporters and members not to listen, read or watch anything the current Senior Coach says. It will only lead to more confusion and pain!

Personally the more I try to understand the current Senior Coach by reading his media releases and other public statements the more it appears to me he is out of his depth as an AFL Coach. Peter Jackson should really review all his comments and statements before they are released to any media outlet.

Did you ever consider that what he's saying might be the truth of the situation? The truth hurts but until we face it we are not going to start doing the hard work that needs to be done. How does what Neeld says indicate he's out of his depth? It seems to me he's being very clear about the magnitude of the task ahead and is not selling false hope. I still believe that when things turn around they will turn pretty quickly and that a lot of us are going to have to eat some humble pie. It might not be pleasant but the facts are the facts. If he came out each week and raised expectations with false bravado we'd be complaining just as loudly.

Mark Neeld says Dees will take up to five years to rebuild. Mitch Clark says that comes as "a little bit" of a shock on @3AWisfootball

Mitch Clark didn't take Jimmy's number for that type of comment.

Neeld is showing signs of desperation now.

Press Conference tomorrow....Odds??

If we need another five year plan why not bring in the master of five year plans - plough the 'list manager'

Why is he doing any interviews at the moment? Shut the fu. No surprise the comment comes as a shock to Clark. It is at odds with what Neeld said pre season and i'll bet very much at odds with what he pitched to Clark when he convinced him to come to the dees.

Where should I start? Was it his comments about having recruited well in the off season, the comments the AFL investigation had no impact on the football department which he later indicated may not have been true. Or maybe the constant comments about having so many players with under 50 games experience (who decided to replace 14 players?), the comments that Melbourne trained so well in the preseason and played well in the Preseason Cup so he could not understand the 148 point flogging by Essendon was a particular favourite. But do I need to go on?

Melbourne FC won four games last season and will likely only win one or maybe two this year (I hope I am wrong). The Issue with the Club come from more than the Senior Coach but we all have to start somewhere.

I see no passion in his coaching or with his players. Is it wrong to expect the coach to get fired up after massive losses or do we expect them to roll over and make excuse after excuse, Even a modification to the game play (if we have one) would be nice. Even if he has the world best game play why not stage the player’s development of it!

I do in fact appreciate hearing the truth from someone I respect (not someone who is simply making excuses) and consider would assist the Club to be as AWESOME as it should be. The current Senior Coach will never get this Club to the final eight, let alone win a Grand Final! The final straw was a the loss to a third year Club, last week (Melbourne FC came so close to losing to a second year Club a few weeks ago).

There is a difference between knowing there a problem and having the skill and experience to resolve them.

I will no longer sit back and say nothing about how Melbourne FC is being run in the football department, I would be more than happy to say I was wrong (as my heart beats true for the red and blue) if things improve quickly!

Melbourne FC Forever!

I know, i feel dirty saying anything nice about the tigers but for the greater good something has to give.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
