Trying to be the hardest team to play against is not working, as someone aptly pointed out earlier in this thread our players are too busy watching their opposition players to get the football first. When opposition players have the ball each of our players are too busy chasing their own players to go at the player with the ball, yet still opposition teams can sweep it from side to side with easy and have 100+ more uncontested possessions than us.

i guess its all opinion based, im not saying he looks quick, but i never thought he was quick, i think he is more of a consistent paced runner, sustaining pace rather than burst of pace. i definitely think he fades out over games but at the moment i feel its due to fitness and that once he starts being able to clock up the 15-20 minutes a quarter through the midfield again then he will be back to his old self.

Has become average in the context of his impact and output. I still believe he has the tools but there's definitely something amiss.

Neeld needs to rectify this as one his top priorities rather that just coming up with ridiculous excuses that playing him in different positions is all part of his development. Let him play as, and develop as a midfielder you imbecile! What he was drafted as and for!

I think a lot of people are jumping to the conclusion that he is injured because they want that to be the case. He played very well last week didn't he? I remember people last week saying he was on an 'upward curve'!

He was actually great in his first two games back. I think he kicked two goals in each of those games, as well as having a few tackles and a number of contested possessions. The fact that he's quickly gone downhill speaks to how underdone he is as a result of his foot injury.

The problem is he has lost power and any ability to break away. He has been able to contest pretty well when the ball is in close but is a liability when it's not. This is not because of his injury pre season as he had the same issue last season, maybe the foot was giving him problems then, who knows.

One thing is for sure and that is he is not the player he was in his first 2 seasons at the club. Some forget that and think of him as a dud pick, I don't but am concerned about what has happened to him over the last season and a bit. He has played nowhere near his potential in that time.

I hope he keeps it, i think he is going to be our best player for a number of years, he is not terrible on an overall basis now, he gets great tackle counts, he generally does something when he has the ball and is hard at it, but if he is suffering from OP or it's still the fracture which both are entirely possible we need to do the right thing by the young man and suck up whatever on field pain it might cause in the short term

we are very lucky to have several players who could fill the role of captain while the others are out, Garland or Chip would be okay in that position too in my opinion.

McQueen i sense your frustration mate. Keep in mind that Neeld did play him in the mid field last week. Unfortunately he matched him up at the start of the match and for a fair portion of the rest of the centerbounces/on ball contests on Beamer. I've expressed my amazement at this decision previously, so i won't go over it again.

Spot on Rusty. That towelling from Beamer and the 5 possie game can't be helping his image among the boys, regardless if it is his fault or not.

I would say that the Trengove captaincy needs to come to an end at the end of this year. I just hope Jack doesn't crack the s***s and leave. It was a silly move to give him the captaincy in the first place, a gimmick and a slap in the face of the men who moved against CS. It made a bit more sense with Jack Grimes but with Trenners it doesn't.

yep, & in their absence of the leaders other will, hopefully step up.

this makes us stronger when all are back on the track together, & fit again.
