Does Neeld go?

Do we accept that's we're we are at?

Is it the cattle?

If we do lose, I can't see how we could keep the current coaching and there plans.

How old are you, & what experience do you have about helping players recover?

You can be a real drop kick sometimes.

Keep neeld to the end of the year, he will still have a year to run on contract, look at it then, I saw a good first half from the dees and I think we will see a better performance next week.

The pressure on the Board will be enormous. Do they stare the media down or do they accept that the truth of the matter is the media are right. I hate the muck-rakers being right so I'm prepared to stare them down like Hird did (to date). Neeld gets the year!

What's that got to the question dee-luded ?

Simple DEE-VOTED.

the players need to recover their composure.

We went into Rnd1 after a big cleanout,, too Young.. the terrible result has set off a big loss of confidence & belief, & a fireball, which it seems to me you are trying to fuel.

I get the feeling your not more than 20 something. & so would know little about how to go about fixing this issue...

except to make it worse.

It is not the 1990's where we could simply go harder in the contest, to force more stoppages, & arrest the momentum.

Now with the size of the Interchange bench has allowed many more strategies to apply to the game & so inexperienced sides are really up against it to stop the team with the momentum.

Thats why there are more blowouts in todays footy.

your posts of this type are not what will help the Club.

Essendon the club, are showing their class, after some decades of a Sheedy dynasty... Character personified throughout.

that win was full of character. that is Sheedy's Legacy.

that club & its supporter base have regrouped TOGETHER, to fight, backs against the world, to take on anycomer...

... & what do I see here,,, rats, wanting to foul, & then desert the ship. & bite anything that passes in front of them.

GWS are younger and more inexperienced than us but don't get blown out of the water as much as we have the last 3 weeks. How long do we keep blaming tactics and youth and modern footy?

I'm not sure losing to GWS makes things worse or makes us less honest

GWS have stuck to their Guns. that is my point that I made... only Mark Williams that I can think of has moved on. they have stuck to their plan in a disciplined way.

they have stability as does GCSuns, because they've stuck to their plans & not panicked.

We are like Richmond of the 80's, because people are continually panicking..... don't listen to the likes of Caro.

continually changing things before they show they're value is craziness.

Just got home from the G the Ist half was great sat in the cheer squad with the lovely and kids and got to wave the flags 9 times in the half brilliant stuff.

Waited with anticipation for the 3rd quarter and watched us get smacked by 11 goals to 1.

The following conclusions were made: we have a really young and 2nd rate midfield that has not got the ability to run from defense to the forward line and back and is simply not strong enough. fit enough or good enough to compete at AFL level

Whitfield, Bugg, Scully, Ward, Shiel, Treloar, Greene & Coniglio will run our midfield off its feet next week unfortunately.

Our midfield is 2nd rate

Saints touched them up and Scully's copping bronx cheers....

If they win, they win.

Today we unearthed Evans (who was good) until he ran out of puff. He's only 20 and coming back from a debilitating back injury.

Matt Jones is a real find.

Ro Bail was great - I hope the kid's head is okay.

Dean Terlich must play every weak, as he has a crack and his skills will improve.

The penny may have dropped with Sylvia and today he really stood up.

3 Jacks were terrific.

Big Mitch is getting better and Nathan Jones may yet win a Brownlow.

Neeld is the man.

You are very optimistic Jumbo. Hope you are right. Time will tell but its what happens in the meantime that really worries me.

Well Patton has done his acl so he is one tall we dont have to worry about. poor kid but its a shame it wasnt Scully.

I was impressed with Evans today. With some more games under him he will be ok. They may have scully, greene, bugg and Whitfield but they have to compete with Jones and Viney who are tough tough men and I think will want to make the presence felt.

Yeah, it's veiled optimism, DemonOx.

I just thought, today, there was flair and some good skills on show.

Most of our players are still too lazy and will need to lift another level to compete/stay in AFL footy.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
