Im watching league teams on fox footy atm and this guys attitude and general persona is just ridiculous.

He is a smug [censored] who loves to also sink the boots into the dees, has picked us for the wooden spoon.

Pointless thread I know but does anyone agree or am I just taking his attitude the wrong way?

Now your talking. I'm devastated at Dwayne's low score in the other thread. He manages to combine relentlessly biased commentary with a complete lack of how he comes across.

Dermie's not the sharpest knive in the drawer but he does gain some credibility based on his record and experience. Now if you want to talk about a [censored] who is totally lacking any credibility at all put Mark Robinson at the top of your list. He is the flogger's [censored].

He's the kind of guy whose personality is so atrocious that you tend to automatically discount everything he says as being pretentious bullshite. While a lot of it is bullshite, some of what he says borders on insightful (which is a rare thing indeed these days).

Just been ripped to shreds by these so called experts.

Has port really had that good of an offseason? Are we really that bad?

I really think the 7 players scares them all, and when Parkin says that's their mindset when they we're picking teams when he coached, it does make you a little nervous.

Seven changes mid season may be an issue but ffs, It's round 1,

They over stated the 7 changes. The only player we've lost that we wanted is Rivers. Who would play instead of Viney, Toumpas, Jones and Byrnes? Cale Morton, Gysberts, Lazy Beamer and Ricky (can't get a game at Richmond) Pettard?

I'll take the future over a proven failed passed.

Don't get me wrong, I disagree with him, I think we will win, but I do worry that 1/3 of our side may not have played a game together.

May be a blessing in disguise, surely we can't be worse than R1 last year.........can we?

Paul Roos is the worst football person on TV.

Don't worry, Clint.

Roosey would love you have a coffee with Goodsey or Kirky or maybe Mummy might even join you.

Can I double like your post?

Roos actually spoilt the replay of the GF they did its the players, I loved the one from Geelong the year before, th Sydney one was ok, but Roos was constantly reminding you of his intimacy with the players who he coached and Long,or was under him etc etc

Seriously, what do you expect them to do? The Dees have no credibility coming out of last season, we are going in with 3 debutantes and 4 first gamers with Dees, and as much as it is not a great gauge, coming off a pretty ordinary preseason.

We have done nothing in the past three seasons to warrant their respect. Hopefully the team uses their comments as a spur to get them going.

Agree hardtack.....last year's players had all the incentive in the world to win their first game; they didn't deliver.

We must beat Port.

It was more of a commentary for people who werent watching the show.

Has port warranted their favorite tag for this weekend after their past 3 seasons?

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
