You've got it all wrong. It was Ooze.

Yeah, how people continually wrote Adem Yze when it is quite clearly Adam Oozay, I will never know.

I'll bet following MFC through 2012 was far more depressing.

Good point Bbo and the sun did come out quite often.

Too bad we no longer have Austin 'copy paste' Wonaeamirri. The variations on that one were classic.

Clark and Dunn +e drives me crazy.

As much as I would like to visit that part of the world (really want to get to Iceland one day), it should be noted that Sweden has one of the highest suicide rates in the world...guess that fits with your description OD.

One of my favourites, not actually a mis spelling but a pronunciation one, was Jack Dyer who used to describe Big Strawbs, #1, as "Odour Wire".

David Rodan- Roden

You can now add Rhodan to the list.......

The effective taxation in Sweden is commonly cited as among the highest in the world.

As long as it's not ineffective taxation, they shouldn't have anything to get upset about.

apparently norway has high tax as well, but the retirement age is alot lower and their civil services are meant to be fantastic...

i'd be happy to pay a bit more tax if it meant i didnt have to work until i'm 70

Helps to be making squillions from North Sea oil.

I used to say 'Trengrove' for a little while (a few months pre and post draft) but I think that's the only mistake I've ever made. I used to think Shannon Byrnes was Brynes though. I've continually seen Clarke, Pettard and Taggart . I never even got Wonaeamirri wrong, among a sea of Wonaemirri's and Wonaeamiri's. A bit off topic, but I've heard people at games exchange Bennell for Jetta and vice versa

I find the spelling police annoying.

As long as I know who posters are on about , I don't care if they mix up a letter.

Nah, spell the name right. It's really not difficult.

It's more the fact that people don't know how to spell the name, not so much mixing up a letter.

Topics like this one make people aware of how to spell certain names.

Personally I am hopeless at remembering people's names and so so at spelling them, but when it comes to players names at Melbourne I like to know them correctly.

Hardly a big deal but.

spelling mistakes arent the things that annoy me, what annoys me is when someone has made a good point or have a good opinion on something but they have slept a name wrong then the next 3 comments are, awww it CLARK not CLARKE!! if you know what they mean just get on with FFS!!

  • NON-MFC: Round 06

The Easter Round kicks off in style with a Thursday night showdown between Brisbane and Collingwood, as both sides look to solidify their spots inside the Top 4 early in the season. Good Friday brings a double-header, with Carlton out to claim consecutive wins when they face the struggling Kangaroos, while later that night the Eagles host the Bombers in Perth, still chasing their first victory of the year. Saturday features another marquee clash as the resurgent Crows look to rebound from back-to-back losses against a formidable GWS outfit. That evening, all eyes will be on Marvel Stadium where Damien Hardwick returns to face his old side—the Tigers—coaching the Suns at a ground he's never hidden his disdain for. Sunday offers two crucial contests where the prize is keeping touch with the Top 8. First, Sydney and Port Adelaide go head-to-head, followed by a fierce battle between the Bulldogs and the Saints. Then, Easter Monday delivers the traditional clash between two bitter rivals, both desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top end of the ladder. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

What were they thinking? I mean by “they” the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around. It’s no secret that the Demons’ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack. Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryan’s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winning 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.
